The CoreXM Expert Certification Exam (also known as the XM For Strategy & Research Expert or legacy CoreXM Expert) is an advanced certification designed for research professionals deeply familiar with the CoreXM platform.

• Training: Preparation typically involves completing structured training available on Qualtrics' XM Basecamp platform. It is highly recommended to go through all training modules, practice materials, and capstone projects.

• Cost and Access:

  • Qualtrics Employees: Do not need to pay for the exam. Log in via XM Basecamp using your Qualtrics email. Employees may also benefit from a self-service model, simplifying scheduling as no online proctor is required.

  • General Candidates: The exam must be purchased via a credit card through XM Basecamp. Following purchase, you will schedule a proctored online exam.

Exam Taking Tips

Took Platform Essentials Summer 2024 & Strategy and Research 2025.

Pay special attention to the challenges and walk throughs.  Also make good use of the training account to make sure you not only understand the materials but are comfortable demonstrating them.  I did not find the end of section quizzes very helpful.  They are deceptively easy and not reflective of the type of questions on the paid exam.

Allow plenty of time to go through the materials and for set up when you are ready to take the exam.  I had sound/video issues my first go round and it left me very flustered going into the test.  Be aware that you will need to remove everything from your area, I ended up having to re-arrange my office space a bit.
