Q: Tell us about your current role.
A: I am the Director of Strategic Planning and Partnerships for Duval County Public Schools. Within this role I am primarily responsible for supporting divisions in the examination of fractured systems and processes and aiding in the development of systemic improvements and efficiencies. By championing the adoption of the Qualtrics platform, I have been able to develop solutions for complex regulations codified in policy and legislation such as reporting of sales-surtax expenditures, standardย walk-through initiatives, COVID-19 reporting, and bell to bell safety officer tracking systems. With over 15 years of experience in the education field, I am determined to identify rich technology resources within the academic domain.
Q: Tell us about one project that you have run on Qualtrics that has been particularly impactful.
A: On particularly impactful project was our COVID-19 School Event Report. With the ever changing rules of mitigation during the pandemic, we developed a decision tree that aided schools in reporting various scenarios within their school buildings and provided next steps on how to mitigate the situation. This solution aided our school health services department to focus on priority scenarios rather than having to field all questions and concerns individually.
Q: What would you like to learn from others in the Community?
A: I am very interested in unique use cases that other K-12 organizations have implemented.
Q: If time and money were endless, what would be your dream experience?
A: A week in the Maldives. My dad always wanted to go but never made it and I promised him I would make it there one day.
Q: Do you have any additional or fun information you'd like to share as it relates to your experience with Qualtrics?
A: This will be our 6th year as a Qualtrics customer and it has been a game changing experience. It has provided our users with the ability to develop custom solutions in a pinch. The UI has always been easy to navigate and isn't overwhelming so those with limited technical knowledge have always felt comfortable within the application. Also, it has allowed us to develop a standard look and feel for solutions which has been awesome as well.
