I need to CC an email address (different for each contact) when sending an email for survey distribution. I read about “Setting up a Send a Survey via Email Task”, but when trying on this solution I can’t get the CC email address field from the contacts list embedded data fields.
Any ideas on this?
Qualtrics doesn’t support CC on email distributions. I think the only way to do this is to create personal links, merge them with contact data (e.g., cc email) then distribute them using a mail merge tool.
I asked this question to Davidson (our support consultants) a few weeks ago and the answer was that “there is no current capability”.

Might not be possible with your setup (it doesn’t work directly in a “Add contacts and transactions to XMD” task without a loop), but here’s a way to do it.
Note that this will create as many distributions as there are contacts in your file instead of one distribution for all contacts. The loop also as a limit of 10k rows.
Also be aware that the cc’ed recipient is not a “contact”: it will use the same access link as the recipient and any completed survey will be linked to that same original recipient.
Workflow:
In my example, the address us in cc is stored in the embeddedData1 field:
