Photo or Video Upload, Colour Changing

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hello. I am struggling very much with Qualtrics. At the moment, I simply need to upload a series of photos into the survey to appear with my questions, but I only see an error that says there is an issue with the library, and I see no option to upload my own photos, which is what I need. My other option is to upload a video, which informs me cannot be saved because “only certain HTML tags are permitted.”

In turn, this issue only exists for me because when I recolour words, the new colours do not appear in the survey, only the original greyscale design. I have stripped the formatting and changed the theme, but cannot access CSS so am unsure of what else to do.

An answer to any of these would be appreciated, I am operating on the 30 day trial of the full account, so theoretically should not be limited in anything.

Uploading Photos

To upload photos, try using the Rich Content Editor: double-click the question text, click the Insert Graphic icon, and upload your file (JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, max 16MB). If you see a library error, upload images to the Qualtrics library first via the Library page, then insert them into your survey. Ensure file formats and sizes are supported for smooth uploading.

Uploading Videos

Direct video uploads in Qualtrics are restricted, so host your video on YouTube (set to Unlisted for privacy) and get the embed code. In Qualtrics, go to the question, select HTML View, and paste the code. This should resolve the HTML tag permission issue, as it leverages external hosting.

Recoloring Words

If colors don’t appear, the theme might override changes. Use the Rich Content Editor for specific text, but for global changes, go to Look & Feel, find Custom CSS under Advanced, and add code like .Skin .QuestionText {color: #000000;} to set black text. Ensure you save and preview to see updates.

I think you are using a free account. Free accounts have limited features.

@Acosp

I had a similar issue when I was using a free trial account and trying to reference pictures that I had uploaded to my library. I don’t know if this is exactly the error you’re encountering, but perhaps my solution will help you:
