Continue reading to see how you can participate in the January Badge of the Month competition, and how you can earn yourself a new profile badge + raffle entry.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
In the past, we ran a competition asking you to tell us why you love Qualtrics! Now that we know why you all love Qualtrics so much, we're curious about _why you want to attend X4 2020_?
It's actually quite easy to participate in this competition, simply _tell us why you want to attend X4 2020_! Tell us about a project you're working on and how attending X4 may help you figure out next steps. Or how you've never been to Utah and want to use X4 as an excuse to ski in Park City. Is there a specific speaker that you're hoping to hear from? Maybe you're looking to grow your network and connect with others in a similar field. Whether you have 1 or 10 reasons why you want to attend X4 2020, tell us all of them!
All community members who contribute to this post with a thoughtful and thorough comment will be entered into the raffle for a chance to win a free pass to X4 2020! This competition closes January 31st at 12:00pm PT, and our winner will be announced the following Monday (2/3). Good luck!

I just started my role as the Sr. Employee Experience Program Manager of a fintech company in NYC. Why do I want to attend? X4 2020 has EVERYTHING I need to help me come up with cutting-edge, best-in-class approaches to the employee experience.
Our company just celebrated its 10-year anniversary and our growth over the last 18 months has been exponential - it's time to start thinking about programs that can scale. In 2020, I'm tasked with redesigning 3 programs: (1) our onboarding experience, (2) engagement survey strategy (and action planning!), and (3) corporate-level recognition program. I'd love to attend X4 and hear from leaders at leading finance companies (e.g., Amex) and tech companies (e.g., Zoom) as well as leaders in related areas (branding, customer engagement, etc.) - there's no other event that has the latest and greatest thinking all in 1 place!
Aside from setting myself up for ultimate success in my role, I'd love to network with like-minded professionals at X4 and build connections that I can ping when I need help brainstorm a challenge or when I'd like to share an idea.
Finally, my company has an office in Salt Lake City - what better way to get out there and visit those employees to get a sense of what their experience is like! I could spend a few days at the SLC office before heading to X4 2020.
So many reasons to attend!! 😃

So, my why.
Well I've actually been wanting to go to this since announced and have literally been manifesting this opportunity EVERY day! I was thinking I would not be able to afford my attendance but have looked everywhere and even sent you emails offering to be a volunteer just to be present! This is something that can't be missed.
Last year I cofounded one of the first female focused co working spaces in my state and learned so much during that process that I wish I would have known sooner. I always strive to surround myself with higher educated and more knowledgable individuals than myself because I want to learn from the best. I love learning new things and broadening my knowledge so that I can then apply in my endeavors and be successful. I know that this summit will be one of the most beneficial experiences for me because of the phenomenal keynotes, all the experienced speakers and the tracks. I am excited to soak up the knowledge and in my future be able to look back and contribute some of my success towards this summit!
If I do not win, PLEASE give me the opportunity to be a volunteer!! o:)

For me, the lure of X4 2020 is the people. Where else can you be in a room with thousands of strangers who all have at least one thing in common with you--they love Qualtrics! Not only that, but they all have ideas, unique perspectives, different areas of expertise, and they are happy to share those. The vibe at the Qualtrics Summit is infectious. It makes me want to learn, explore, and I feel like anything is possible. The summit is also a place to make new friends and reunite with old ones (who you may only see once a year at this event). I have kept in touch with several people I met last year and count myself lucky to have them in my network. They have answered my questions, celebrated my successes, and allowed me to introduce them to others, further widening the circle. Don't get me wrong--the speakers are amazing, the concert is out of this world, and the Qualtrics staff know how to make every moment count, but the _best best best best_ part of the X4 summit... is the people.
I'm in a unique role in that I'm the primary owner of the Qualtrics relationship for Employee Experience AND I've been put in charge of redesigning our Voice of the Customer program, for which we are strongly considering Qualtrics. My background is in I/O psychology, so I have so much to learn about the CX side of things. I'd love to be able to hear other companies talk about their CX journeys to get ideas on how we should go about implementing this new, state-of-the-art-program. It's a huge project, and I know attending X4 would greatly benefit me (and NFM) along the journey.
I would love to visit the X4 in Salt Lake City for a number of reasons.
Our company HQ are located in Europe and, thus, the closest Qualtrics events for us are the ones held in Nordics and in the UK. Unfortunately, these event are done on a much smaller scale and we cannot embrace the full Qualtrics community (and Qualtrics Community too 😉 ) experience. I would love to be able to attend hands-on trainings and to listen to the world's most famous brands sharing their experience journey with Qualtrics.
In many ways US companies put experience management as one of the most important part of their business, so it would really be great to hear about it first-hand.
In my work I am an XM service provider for both CX and EX in our company, which means that i am to be very familiar with what is happening in CX and EX here and there, so I can give valuable advice to my stakeholders about best practices and global trends to improve our internal and external Experience management. Is there a better way to get familiar with these topics than networking with people representing EX and CX activities from different industries?

My why!
Market research is fairly new at the tech company I recently joined. My vision is for us to become an example that's shared at a Qualtrics Summit in the future on how our company utilized CX to shape game-changing strategy, discover insights, and pretty much how our journey with Qualtrics led us to be a golden case study and just overall example. I want to go to Summit to learn how other companies have done just that! How they've used CX to build structure and strategy, especially in the tech industry. I really want to hear and learn from Sunshine Hillygus, PhD from Duke University on survey methodology, Luis Angel-Lalanne (VP Customer Listening), Tracey Strober (Global CX) , Beth Ard (VP Customer Experience) and Chris Chapman (UX). These sessions will be golden and super relevant to what I'm trying to achieve with my company. Insights from these sessions will be gold!!

Hey Char - I would really like to find out how you got the role as Sr. EX Program Manager. Feel free to DM me. I'm curious if the job was posted as such or if you were already with the company and you transitioned into the role.

The X4 summit, like the insight summits of the past, is the best tech conference I have ever been to. This year, I have some different reasons than I did in the past.
In past years, I went to gain knowledge of the system and took advantage of the opportunity to get my certifications. In my previous position as Assistant Director and then Director of Web Communication at Washington State University, I started to understand the power of Qualtrics for XM and really tried to push upper management to see the benefits of it there.
Now in my new role as Technical Program Manager for our customer portal at a Smart City / Industrial IOT company, I'm yet again hoping to bring XM to prominence for upper management.
At X4 2020 - I want to dive head first into CX and BX and find out how I can leverage them to take our customer portal to the next level. Hopefully I will be able to network with others and gain insights from them.
I always want to attend X4, but then you went and got Chip and Joanna Gains for keynote speakers, my wife and I love them and their show. So yeah, gotta go see them.
Plus I have to see @LaurenK and thank her for putting up with me.

Hello everyone!
I believe that the X4 is the ideal space to open my mind to new and better ways of doing what we do, to listen to the experiences of companies that have driven their success thanks to Qualtrics and to learn from the opinions of people who know and promote the importance of managing experience in everyday life. I want to deepen in this experience word and continue to learn about the experiences all people live every day, who, even without realizing or making a conscious evaluation, live an experience with every action they take.
Working with Qualtrics has been an experience and at work you don't only grow in professional aspects, you also develop personally, so you have to take every opportunity, because the dream job is the one that allows you to grow both in professional as in personal aspects, having awesome memories, meeting new people and cultures, eating something different, everything is an experience!

Thanks for the opportunity! This is great news! I would like to attend this conference because I've been bragging about this conference to the leadership the last couple of weeks and asked them to guess some of the speakers. How exciting to have Michelle Obama and her good and funny friend, Ellen! ) I even looked on the website to see how I could volunteer)- just to get in the Fight Night room to see Twitch dance. 😀
How did I get here? I just found about Qualtrics a couple of months ago and learned of this site yesterday. The research services team dissolved and I volunteered to (take on the responsibility of 3-4 employees) deliver the projects that were under contract. And although I don't like to pat myself on the back, I did it! The client was pleased and we went from "let's not promote this service in 2020" to "I'm developing marketing materials to showcase our project offerings" The first project was a 2 part compensation and benefits survey that had complicated wage data and calculations. The second project was a regional wage survey that required a combination of Qualtrics and Excel - which is my expertise. The 3rd project and the one I'm working on is an employee satisfaction survey and I'm learning new capabilities every day like adding a quota and skip logic. In a few days time, I had to learn the functionality of Qualtrics, find the data and reports, learn the processes and I worked practically all day and night to meet the deadline - and had fun doing it. 😃
Now that I'm familiar with Qualtrics and the possibilities, I'd like to be in the community of the brightest and talented people to learn how I can transform my organization. So while I'd love to participate in the Breakthrough sessions with top leaders in the country, I would also benefit from attending Basecamp as one who absorbs learning. I'd especially like to connect with people to expand my local network and experience Utah- a state I've never visited.
I would be honored to attend the X4 Experience as a self-taught, "baby boomer" leader who's championing how Qualtrics can change the way companies do business.

I am kickstarting a new digital project that requires deep customer research and a close ear to customers at all times. I am hoping to attend brand building and product experience sessions and look forward to hearing from Brene Brown on leadership. I am also keen on attending the Basecamp sessions on using user journeys to design better customer experience and on developing a CX structure and governance structure.
A lot of whys.
As a CX program lead I liked and promoted the Qualtrics platform since we adopted it almost two years ago as it is a tool that has so many capabilities that we are not even aware of.
I am now working on a project where I want to move and/or create automated customer feedback channels for all our products (and we have a few) and either integrate them in the platform or just start of with baselines and relationship surveys. There are a lot of possibilities given that each product performs differently and some have a different audience. A very interesting challenge where I could benefit from inspiration and steal some best practices from others - so the event would be an amazing benefit for us.

I heard going to X4 Summit is like having pineapple on pizza, it's not for everyone but for those that do, are way more sophisticated!
Who wouldn't want to go to X4 Summit 2020? A once in a lifetime opportunity to learn new features of Qualtrics CoreXM along with the four core (BrandXM, CustomerXM, EmployeeXM, ProductXM). A summit where you get to meet colleagues worldwide from top industries to bounce ideas, brainstorm solutions for tackling ongoing challenges. Oh and maybe meet some celebrities along the way. Who's Ellen DeGeneres and Michelle Obama again? ;)
In my role as Academic Applications Systems Specialist for the largest community college in Southern California. I've been using Qualtrics since 2015 for surveying and collecting up-to-date accurate data. These data are used by the college administration for making better decisions on the type of resources, supports, courses, and programs to accommodate our growing student population. I want to explore integrating our ERP system with Qualtics to improve the student experience, increase enrollments, track successful outcomes, and student performance from start to graduation.

I am a staff educator for a unit in a large academic facility. I came upon Qualtrics and turned my manager into a fan. We run all our surveys for employee engagement, employee of the year, and peer evaluations now through the platform. After a year of use and success, the entire facility is now using it. I am currently developing templates for the various departments to use similarly. I'm excited to introduce the platform and expand its use in my organization. I'm still learning all the nuances and features. Attending X4 and the basecamp training will help me push the platform further in the organization as I hope to be able to learn the advanced features.
I would LOVE the opportunity to attend the X4 Summit. I am part of the leadership team in my department and a lot of my responsibilities tie into the different "tracks" at X4! I am the HR rep for our department and would love to learn more about how we can improve our employee experience overall and how we can improve/introduce better people analytics. We try to focus on emotional intelligence and on our people but we have a hard time knowing how to measure their experience and what is most important in a legitimate way.
We are also in the process of re-branding our department now so the branding experience track would be SO helpful to me and our organization. This would be a great opportunity for me to improve the organization I work for and also expand my horizons and my network.

I am now in my fourth year of using Qualtrics and find myself limited by my imagination. When my surveys include videos, waitlists, and decrementing results, I can easily turn to the support pages (or, bonus, the great customer service!) for guidance on how to implement the tools. However, I am sure that I am not even beginning to tap the wealth of options that Qualtrics contains. I would love to attend X4 Summit to surround myself with peers and specialists who can provide insight into how to strengthen my current surveys and build better ones the next time. And, although skiing is a terrific bonus, I would want to attend even if this was held in August!
i want to get my business onboard with what i want to achieve with Qualtrics being the central enabler to that. being able to listen and learn to people that have likely experience similar challenges that i currently face would help me to formulate a plan that cannot be refused.
Everyone who participated in this competition was entered into the raffle for a chance to win a free pass to X4 2020! However, only one person can be crowned the winner, and that person is @yanceyvr! Congrats! A community admin will reach out with next steps on how you can claim your free X4 pass!
