Hi everyone!

About a month ago we set up our EX project, including all the roles and personalized data restrictions for each dashboard. But we’ve just noticed that those data restrictions have been ‘scrambled’ in Qualtrics - they don't look as we have set them up!

Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, did you manage to fix it?

We’ve already opened a ticket with Qualtrics, but the issue is quite urgent for us, so any insight would really help!

Hi @Paula_978 , I would suggest to double check all roles restriction again, It might be a case someone have changed permission. If it is correct, you can proxy login some users to check if they see what is meant for them or it is incorrect.

If it is still not working as defined in your roles permission, support will be the best to help.

Hi @PeeyushBansal Thank you for the reply!

The issue is not due to manual intervention, ie nobody modified the role restrictions. You are right, proxy-ing helped understand what is going on.

The ticket is with Qualtrics, it's been escalated now, so hopefully will get a result soon.

Here is what we were told - Thank you for reaching out. It looks like this issue is being looked at by our engineering team right now for a fix. However, something that the representative from our internal noticed is that the filters on the dashboard are actually working as expected and showing all permission restrictions, not just displaying after you set the permissions. So it looks like its more a visual error rather than a permissions one. **They are going to continue to investigate.

Hi @Marti !

Thanks for sharing! Yes, it looks like a visual bug.

Right now, without visibility into the allocated permissions, our back‑end team can’t make even small updates without reassigning everything from scratch. It’s a bit challenging, especially since this is the third major permissions update that has impacted our workflow without prior notice.

I know you’re probably affected by these changes as well, but I wanted to flag it in case it helps someone at Qualtrics to take a closer look 😊
