Topic: Setting up A/B Testing in Surveys

A/B testing is a commonly used research methodology students and professionals use to compare two different versions of something to identify the better-performing option.

One frequent use case among survey creators consists of displaying a new logo to half of the respondents, displaying the original logo to the other half, and analyzing which logo was more well-received. This and other use cases can be easily set up in Qualtrics by creating a block for each condition, adding a randomizer, and enabling the “Evenly Present Elements” feature.

Groups, embedded data, and other survey flow options can be used to ensure that more complex conditions are evenly presented and accurately tracked in your data.

Gain valuable insights and make informed decisions by implementing A/B testing in your surveys today!

How to implement this methodology:

  1. Go to your Survey Project.
  2. Go to your Survey Flow.
  3. Add a new Randomizer.
  4. Drag your different Question Blocks underneath the Randomizer.
  5. Check Evenly Present Elements.
  6. Enter the amount of elements that should be presented each time.
  7. Click Apply.
