Hello All!

 

We are just starting conversations in our district about making some updates to our employee dress code. Has anyone else been through this process? If so, would love to get your input on items we should include or exclude. 😊

Hi Yvonne,

 

I’ve not done a survey for this but have a little bit of background from my management days.  I would recommend getting a baseline for how the employees are currently feeling about the dress code (if you haven’t already) and then drill down on the areas identified as being in need of change.  I would also highly recommend working with your HR department and CBA since dress codes can at times be an uncomfortable and hot topic.  Running potential survey questions by those groups prior to sending out a survey would help identify any questions that are not acceptable to ask and create future problems. 

Other than that typical survey rules like keeping it short, limiting open ended questions, etc.

If I were creating it I would make it anonymous and have very intentional questions coupled with simple straight forward question types such as multiple choice.
