We recently converted from contact lists to XM Directory. The number of embedded data fields (130) per contact is crazy. Some of the embedded data fields don't even make sense for certain groups of contacts. It looks like I can segregate my contacts based on "type" (Employees, Students, Alumni, etc) and then each of the different directories can have embedded data that makes sense for that group. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and could confirm that for me so I can feel confident when I start setting up different directories it is not all in vain!

Hi @MichelleM
Yes having multiple directories completely isolates the contacts between them so if you are going to create one for employees, there you only upload the employees with their embedded data and nor the employees neither their embedded data fields will appear in the other directories. Keep in mind that i think you only can create 5 different directories
