I’d like to see Qualtrics add some options for customizing the “Projects” page. The ability to add a message for users would be helpful as would the ability to remove the “Create Projects” button for those that don’t have those permissions.
Hi
If are admin if can disable the "create CX project" option for all the users under admin from the main menu. Then if user try to create a project it will show an error to them
Hi, yes, I’m aware of the setting option. However, it still doesn’t remove the “Create Project” button and language on the landing page. That still exists on the page and they don’t get the error message until they’ve clicked the button.
Hi,
I don’t think so that is any functionality in qualtrics that removes the “Create a new project” button from the home page. But you can reach out to Qualtrics Support for this.
I couldn’t agree more with this suggestion. Been a common issue I have raised on several occasions.
For our users we use the default dashboard page for each user to place any messages, and ask them to ignore the home screen or project screen within Qualtrics. We then suggest users bookmark the relevant Qualtrics dashboard page directly, so they can skip seeing these pages.
One alternative you could explore is implementing the new Dashboard viewer access for users who don’t need to create projects. This removes much of the additional functionality Qualtrics has, limiting it to just view dashboards (if that is all your users are using). We haven’t been able to do this ourselves as our users still use ticketing and at this stage require access to full Qualtrics for that. Hopefully more customisation and separation of functions is coming.
Just to add here is Qualtrics page on this Using Dashboard Viewer (qualtrics.com). Support have also indicated they can turn off the Qualtrics menu option shown, so users can just be a dashboard viewer if needed.
