Survey Platform

I want to use a lifecycle survey to get feedback on a program where we will have people take the survey multiple times base don how many workshops etc. they attend. I will not be sending a message from the system to generate responses, but rather want to use a QR code in our sessions. Since lifecycle surveys dont automatically create QR codes (unless I am missing something), I want to use a service to generate a QR code for our survey link. Where do I find what would act like an anonymous link to use? Wondering since anonymous links dont allow for survey retakes according to the description if you turn that feature on in the response page of survey options: “give responses the option to retake your survey after they’ve finidhsed. This option doesn’t work when using anonymous links.”

I have a survey that I want to distribute via individual links and then anonymize. I need people to enroll for the survey by using a single anonymous link where they submit their name and email address. I have been able to create a workflow that automatically adds them to a contact list when they submit this enrollment survey.  What I want to happen is that when they submit the enrollment survey, a personal link is generated for the 2nd survey and then automatically emailed out to them to complete. Does anyone have advice for how to do this?

Hello, I’d like to enable survey participants to confirm that all the answers are correct before submitting the survey response. In order to do that, I customized the End of Survey block and turned on “Show Response Summary before completing the survey” option. Then ideally the last button is displayed as “Submit” but I have no idea how to change the text from “next” to “submit” or “confirm”.Does anyone know how to change the button text in End Of Survey block?

Hi I need to create a project that will send the employee a survey in every work anniversary, however the only information that i have from when the employee started working is the date of admission so I am in doubt of how to add the participant automatically and then make sure the system send them a new invitation and allow them to take a new survey saving the past results every year. Any ideas of how can i do this?

Hi, I’m trying to create a list of rules for students who want to be assigned a study carrel. The idea is that they would agree to these rules, enter in their name and email address, and when they submit, the form would pull from a pre-made list and send each student their individual carrel number. I’m looking through the Email Task steps but I’m not seeing a way to have the email response pull from data in the way a mail merge would. Can anyone guide me on how to set this up?

I upgraded my free account on Saturday 2/24 around noon ET. My credit card has been charged but the upgraded version has not loaded. It’s Sunday at 8:45pm so it’s been 34 hours… I’m really frustrated because there is no way to submit a ticket for help as a “free” user but I just paid $1440 to upgrade. I am piloting a survey the next two days and then launching the official survey on Thursday. How do I get help from Qualtrics to resolve this problem?

Hello, I’m creating a simple survey with 3 questions but I was informed that folks can’t put their name to the survey.  They want to know who filled the survey out.  Is this possible?   Thank you.

Hi,I’ve found somewhat similar posts, but not one exactly for what we need. And assuming the only way to do what we are looking for is via JavaScript. And that is a little outside of my knowledge span.We have a survey with a multi-select question and we need the answers to go back into a field in a specific manner. The selected choice piped text doesn’t quite work with commas.Ques:Answer 1 Answer 2 Answer 3 Answer 4If the associate picks multiple items we need the result field to show like: ‘Answer 1|Answer 2|Answer 3’. Thought about making an embedded data field in the flow but if there is an answer they don’t select we do not want a blank space or || to happen. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

Hi, I am having trouble piping text in a loop & merge block. We are asking about the respondents’ immigration history. First, we ask when they first came to the US, what their first immigrant status was, and whether their status has changed since then. If their answer to Q36 is Yes OR the answer to Q37 is No, then we will ask about their changes in immigration statuses.  In the next loop and merge block, the questions should be repeated based on the last question (“Is xxxx your current status?”), and each question should pipe the text from the first question (immigration status). However, it doesn’t show any piped text in the loop when using ${q://QID38/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoicesTextEntry}. Can anyone let me know the correct piped text in this case?

Hi all,  I am currently getting the below error message when I try to view a response on my survey (in the Data & Analysis > Data > 3 small right hand side dots).  {"Error":"\/rpc\/surveys\/v1\/opencall\/getUserAccountSurveys continually unavailable after 5 retries over 677.268487 ms","ErrorCode":502} I was able to view responses before, but suddenly the error message is coming up and I am unable to view the responses now.  Any help would be much appreciated - thank you so much!

Hi everyone, I have a survey that will be made accessible to a pre-determined list of customers through an app, which will simply notify them to access an anonymous link that will have an authenticator asking to log in.Then, since we want to make sure we get as much response as possible, we will be later pushing by sending an email with the anonymous link, but I would like to have the email not being sent to those who already replied to the survey even partially. Is there a way in the mail sending allowing us to exclude those whose answers are already recorded?I’d be very grateful if I could get a few hints on this one.Thank you much in advance, Guillaume

I’m trying to set up display logic which checks that one of my google tags (salesRep) is equal to null. The field is not empty, but null is returned in some cases. I’ve tried setting this up so that my google tag is equal to ‘eval(salesRep === null)’ but have been unsuccessful. Can the display logic feature read Javascript like this? Have I gotten the code itself wrong?

Hello, I currently have a dashboard set up with a gauge widget that displays the average for each question’s answers (5 questions total) on my survey. Each question has one of three weighted answers to choose from (1 = below expectations, 3=meets expectations, 5=exceeds expectations). Example: 1st widget displays an average of “2”, the second widget displays an average of “3” and so on. I’d like to create a widget that displays the average of all widgets (an overall average for all of the questions). Is this possible?  Thank you!

Hi all,I have a problem with my survey, but I have no idea what is going on. Here’s a short overview of the survey:Participants see a word on one screen. Then, they go to another screen and see another word. Their task is to search for a relation between both words. On the second screen the text entry field is hidden until the participant presses space. When the participant presses space, the reaction time is measured with JS and embedded data fields and the text entry field appears. Participant fill in the relevant relations between the words in this field. I created 14 different survey, with each survey having different words. I then created a sort of master survey in which I redirect participants to one of the 14 surveys. This is a screenshot of how I did this:   A participant did the survey yesterday, the reaction times were measured, but the words he filled in were not registered. He said he lost his connection and at a certain point restarted the survey from scratch. I saw that h

Hi, I want to use an online panel to get answers to my survey. However, currently I do not see the option to distribute to online panel. Is this because I am a free user? Any experience in setting up a survey in the netherlands, do you get enough respondents

My questionnaire is rather straightforward and each question (6 total) has the same format:A food (for example, chocolate mousse) and two options: chocolate mousse A with two pictured labels (picture of label A and picture of label B) and chocolate mousse B with two different pictured labels (label C and label D).Participants have to choose from these two options. Simple as that. What I haven’t been able to do so far - since I am really new at Qualtrics - is to randomly flip the labels for each food (label A ↔ B; each label is an independent image) and flip the order of food options (food option A ↔ food option B) but have it so that I know precisely what has been shown to each participant (for data analysis purposes). Here below is, with random labels, what I am talking about.I was told that I should just work with embedded data and pipped text but don’t know where to start.

Hello. I am in the process of creating a survey for a thesis project that examines the mental health of post-secondary students. As part of my ethics application requirements, I would like to include a withdraw from survey button on every page of the survey. I have spent hours trying to figure this out, and am incredibly confused on how to create such an option. I would appreciate any advice and step-by-step explanation. Thank you in advance!

Hi! I am wondering if there is an elegant way to create individual response reports or URLS that only display certain blocks in a survey. I have blocks set up with logic to display descriptive text to the user based on their response to earlier questions.  The descriptive-text blocks themselves have dozens of items on them, so setting embedded data for each individual text piece is laborious. However, if there’s a way to simply pull specific blocks through into a single response report, or to automatically link a user to re-view that block of the survey while preserving their earlier survey answers -- that’d be ideal. Essentially, I want my respondents to be able to revisit the final 2 blocks of the survey - which is all descriptive text -- without having to view their previous answers to questions on the first blocks of the survey. If this would be a custom report engineering issue, that’s also okay.

Hi all, I’m new to qualtrics and haven’t been able to find the solution to my problem. I want to make the below results line up so they are justified right. I am not allowed to use tables as it interferes with my organisations accessibility rules.  The code I am using is   ${gr://SC_8oVJ87fin9VHlKm/Score} The results:Standard 1       9Standard 2       10Standard 3       10Standard 4       9How I want it to lookStandard 1         9Standard 2       10Standard 3       10Standard 4         9Can anyone help solve this without tables please? Many thanksAnthony

Is there a way to allow users to select and employee ID, then have certain questions be pre-filled with that employees data?  EG.  Someone selects employee id 123456.  The next question is employee 123456’s favorite color which is then automatically populated.

I want to be able to check whether an open-ended response is contained in a list/document that I input to Qualtrics, and I cannot at all figure out how to do this validation. Is there a way to upload a separate document/list, or even just input a bunch of text somewhere within the survey, and then when the participant types an answer to a particular question, it checks whether their answer is in my text and then branches on the basis of that response? Thanks for your help!

Hi! I have a list of usernames and I need to ensure that a unique username is displayed to each participant that begins the survey (no duplicates). Any ideas for how I might do this? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi,I’ve been testing out my survey and went I email myself an invitation and I complete the survey, I’m finding my email is not recording in the data. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I’ve checked that the anonymous responding option is not ticked, but not sure what else to do.Thanks,L

I am trying to create a survey where participants have time limitations on their responses. This seems to be working using timers. I would also like participants to advance to the next question on the next page immediately after answering each question if they answer before their allotted time expires. Auto advance does not accomplish this, in fact in my survey the auto-advance “Done” button does not do anything.

Hello! I am trying to figure out how to get the MC answers aligned with the question text. I currently have two columns coded in CSS: the left one includes the pinned image, and the right includes the questions and answers. Additionally, this is a very complex survey (with over 400 questions), so the ability to replicate this process throughout would be helpful! I have included a screenshot and the code (CSS & HTML) I have been using thus far - I have not tried JavaScript (I am not super knowledgable) CSS:/* Create a two-column layout */#TwoColumnLayout {    display: flex;    flex-direction: row;}/* Style the left column (for the pinned image) */#LeftColumn {    position: fixed;    top: 10px;    left: 10px;    width: 50%; /* Adjust the width as needed */    height: auto;}/* Style the right column (for the survey questions) */#RightColumn {    margin-left: 32%; /* Adjust the margin to prevent overlap */    width: 68%; /* Adjust the width as needed */}HTML (I put every question in th
