Problem with metrics in Results page

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Good morning!

I have an issue in the new Results page. In single multiple choice questions (so not a matrix but a single question), I am unable to properly see the results by metric. See the below image for reference. What I would like here is to not have the minimum, maximum, average and count by answer category (Ja en Nee in this case), but only as a total. I figure my problem is related to the error messages in the metrics on the left side of the page, but I cannot change the metric field to the question I want it to relate to (that question does not appear as an option).

I also cannot figure out how to remove Ja/Nee as rows, I can only remove the rows as a whole (which leads to having no answers at all). This issue is happening to all of my single multiple choice questions, but not to multiple choice questions in a matrix.

Is there a way to combine multiple answers into one line with minimum, maximum, average and count?

I am encountering this issue as well. It seems like there has been a change in how you can use data from multiple choice questions in Results-Dashboards. I am no longer able to create metrics that use recode values, and the ones I had created before have broken. Frustratingly, you can still get the expected/prior behavior in reports.

Did anyone find a solution to the above issue?  I’m experiencing it as well. I’ve spent hours and hours troubleshooting to no avail, and I’m growing concerned since Qualtrics says we’ll lose access to the old results experience April 1. It shouldn’t be this hard to calculate the average of a single select, multiple choice question.

I found a workaround (it was way too time-consuming to be considered a solution). I created a custom formula field for each variable: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/data/add-new-fields/formula-variable-creation/

I set up each formula field like so:

The new field name is NUM.Content.Advanced, the formula is the single variable x, and the variable x is identified as the question with the custom label Content.Advanced.

I can then use this new custom field for the calculated metrics on my dashboards. Hopefully someone can chime in with an actual solution!
