Results Dashboards are not intuitive | XM Community
Skip to main content

I am a longtime Qualtrics user. I feel like I am in expert in most things on the platform but the ‘Results Dashboards’ are not at all intuitive. I have read the online documentation multiple times and still struggle to create results dashboards for basic surveys. It takes so many clicks to customize the widgets in needed ways and it’s very difficult to know what to do to make basic visualizations.

This new-ish feature is in no way an upgrade from the previous results-reports page. I understand I can revert back to the old version but worry about it the results-reports being phased out at some point. The dashboard version is clunky, nearly impossible for someone to use efficiently, and offers less customizability than results-reports. As someone who is responsible for encouraging my colleagues to use Qualtrics over other products like Google forms, it makes it even harder when the features are so difficult to learn.

It would be great if Qualtrics would either dramatically improve the user-friendliness of results dashboards or just accept that they are a well-intentioned fail and move back to results-reports.

Hi @sarablis,

First, thank you for being a longtime Qualtrics customer - we truly appreciate your loyalty and the time you've taken to provide this detailed feedback. I’ve internally escalated your feedback to the product team and will share their thoughts on this thread once I get a reply.

I understand that the transition from a familiar tool to a new interface can be challenging when it impacts your daily workflows and ability to advocate for the platform within your organization. In the meantime, I can try and locate webinars/enablement resources on this topic or connect you with our customer success team for personalized guidance, if you’d like.

Thank you! I have reached out to support and they were very helpful in guiding me through editing the dashboards. I just wish they were easier to use. I appreciate your consideration and assistance!

Great to hear they helped you out! For anyone else looking for info on this feature, here's the Results Dashboard Basic Overview that might be useful.
