This month, we're celebrating Qualtrics Love with a twist:ย discovering your Community Love Language!ย If the Qualtrics Experience Community had "love languages," which one resonates most with you?

ย

Share your love language(s) and a specific example of how you've expressed it (or experienced it) in our community!

ย

ย

Words of Affirmation ๐Ÿ’ฌ

You believe in the power of encouragement, recognition, and positive feedback. You love giving kudos, celebrating wins, thanking helpful members, and know that sometimes a simple "this helped me!" can make someone's day.

Acts of Service ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

You show love by rolling up your sleeves and helping others solve problems. You provide step-by-step instructions, test solutions, and follow up to ensure problems are resolved.

Quality Time โฐ

You thrive on real-time connection and meaningful engagement. You love participating in live events & webinars, training colleagues, and showing up consistently to build genuine relationships.

Receiving Gifts ๐ŸŽ

You're motivated by recognition, achievements, and tangible rewards. Badges excite you, climbing the leaderboard drives you, and celebrating milestones makes learning and participating more fun. Plus, you love showing off your cool community merch!

Hands-On Learning ๐Ÿค

You learn best by doing and sharing practical resources. You love working with templates, code snippets, and workflows and giving someone something they can immediately implement.

ย

During the first week of each month, we will post a new question, topic, or activity for you to connect with the community and earn a badge. All community members who join our team and contribute a thoughtful comment to this month's discussion, between February 1 and February 28, will receive this badge worth 50 points by the end of the month.

Acts of service - I LOVE it when Iโ€™m not understanding something and someone takes time to build a mockup and include screenshots.

Love this concept! My community love language is definitely Words of Affirmation. I truly believe encouragement goes a long way, and I make a point of recognizing my colleaguesโ€™ contributions, whether itโ€™s celebrating a win, thanking someone for sharing a helpful solution, or simply letting them know their input made a difference. A few kind words can really boost confidence and motivation, and I love being someone who spreads that positive energy in my organisationย ๐Ÿ’›

My word is "empathy." It was also the keyword of the year for Qualtrics, but within this community, I am experiencing empathy by talking about the same topic, different experiences and looking at photos with many users around the world every month through badge rewards.

With many users who have the same concerns as me, I am gaining experience every day by confirming my will to grow further without feeling lonely.ย
Thank you.

Words of Affirmation it is! I think it is especially important for people who work in the shadows, as they donโ€™t receive kudos directly from the clients using the platform. As a solution architect, when I receive a great comment from a satisfied customer, I make sure to share the kind words with all the tech team members who have worked hard. Iโ€™m planning to do the same in this awesome community!

Hands-On Learning:ย I really like studying and learning but when I start practicing and doing things on platform is when I really learn and makeย things to beย part of my knowledge.

It is tough to pick just one. โ€˜Words of Affirmationโ€™ resonates very well in my role and I love to see people grow and develop. Being new to QualtricsXM and engaging in training with many of our team this month, I will have a lot of opportunities to use this gift.ย ย

I agree, being a very visual person myself - screenshots work so well for me.

I am a huge fan of acts of service. My thoughts are that, if I take the time to help someone, I am showing that I truly care. Words of affirmation are great, but cost little to nothing. Thatโ€™s not to mean that words donโ€™t have a place, but I feel like the greatest impact comes from taking the time and effort to help someone.ย I think every one of these categories has its place, but the biggest impact comes from those who step up and get their hands dirty.ย

Acts of Service!ย  I appreciate receiving and because of that I tend to lean towards that approach for others.ย  Much of the work I do is not a comfort zone area for many of my colleagues.ย  I have found that logging in as the user, spending the time to build a project with them and explain the process and then by the time we are done, the final project already lives with the user, itย is a comfort that they have a full project as a takeaway.

All of these loveโ€‘language styles resonate with me, but Handsโ€‘On Learning is definitely my top one.

I love spotting an interesting problem and jumping right in;ย when I have the time to do so๐Ÿ˜„.
The feeling of going from โ€œThat could be handy if done rightโ€ to โ€œOh wow, it works and it opens a whole new doorโ€ is hard to beat.

๐Ÿ’ฌ...๐Ÿ› ๏ธ...โฐ...๐ŸŽ...๐Ÿค
Awww... Why do we have to chose one ???

I love all of that and try to be proactive in each of these categories.

In the between of end users, project leaders and technical team, I love to share my technical knowledge and deep understanding so everyone is on the same page and things are getting done efficiently.
And because Iโ€™m often the man in the miin the middle of each interaction, I attach greatย  importance to recognize every actor imvolvment in the end result of each project.

Forum|alt.badge.img+24

Hands-on learning for me mainly.

1) Getting to know how other users use Qualtrics features/Javascript and trying it out by myself (if time allows๐Ÿซฃ)

2) Viewing other users'ย questions and trying to resolve it as if it is an issue that I am facing to widen my existing knowledge.

ย

Well, after "resolving" it on my end, I add replies to their question post, hoping to help them resolve their issue.

I can also learn more about the details of how they hope to use Qualtrics or design their questions/flow for their scenarios through the replies.

The points that are earned later is add-onย bonus for redeeming merchandise and the levels achieved gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Words of affirmation - Coming from a place of sincerity can beย powerful.ย  Often though being kind to yourself is important to remember too, especially in the hustle of the day to day.

ย

Visible/Tangible reminders of accomplishment are nice as well - it shows how far youโ€™ve come.

I needed some time to mull this one over. First of all as someone who loves languages I think this is a great theme. At the end of the day itโ€™s through language that we communicate, get ideas across and inform each other. Itโ€™s one of the great enablers of civilization.

That said, some of the above love languages resonate more than others. Some I feel I need to improve and learn how to do better. While others I seem to gravitate towards intrinsically. My top two are:

Quality Time โฐย I consider myself a people person. Although the company I work for allows us ample opportunity to work remotely, I make it a point to go to the office at least twice a week to see my colleagues, have lunch with them and get caught up on the latest over a coffee. Same for client visits, I can do these via video confernce but find actually going there, meeting folks in person and spending time with them is much more rewarding and better for our relationship.

Receiving Gifts ๐ŸŽI definitely am a badge fan and am proud of the ones Iโ€™ve gained. ย Because my company does not use Qualtrics and Iโ€™m not an administrator most of the posts, questions and topics are far too technical for me to answer or contribute to. So the Monthly Badges along with a side eye on the leaderboard are an important motivator to keep coming back to this Community.

I agree with everyone saying it is hard to pick just one of these! My top two are definitely hands-on learning and acts of service, but if I had to chose just one, Iโ€™d say hands-on learning. This isย purely because I believe that after a certain point (especially for complexย software) the best way to truly learn is through getting your hands dirty and trying and maybe even failing. Each attempt at getting something done is getting you one step closer to where you want to be.

So by that logic, having a code snippet or workflow that you want to implement but attempting to implement yourself will help you both understand Qualtrics and your solution even more!ย ๐Ÿค—

My style is definitely Hands-On Learning. I love to learn by experimenting and building practical solutions, whether that means testing out new ideas, solving real use cases, or developing tools my coworkers can use right away. I enjoy diving in, figuring things out through action, and sharing what I create so others can benefit too.

I have to say that in โ€œReal Lifeโ€ my love language is acts of service (especially cooking, because feeding the people I love is the way I show my love for them).ย  Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m surprised itโ€™s not also my community love language.ย  And itโ€™s not for lack of wanting to provide acts of service, but more of a time and experience constraint.ย  I donโ€™t work with Qualtrics on a daily basis like I did in my previous role and I donโ€™t understand the ins-and-outs of the product enough to answer complex questions that come up on the community pages...but I used to (so hopefully that still counts)!
