I have a survey that has been open for a year that contains a form field question with six fields. We no longer need users to fill out one of the fields, but we still want to keep the data that was previously collected, so I don’t want to completely remove that particular field. Is there a way to hide only the second field in a form field question?

Yes, you can apply Display Logic to the field, using a condition that will always be false.
