Does anyone have tips on troubleshooting when TextIQ tells you you don't have a valid JSON file? | XM Community

Hello... I recently created a JSON file to assign a number of keywords to a topic for Text IQ. I do not have the upgraded version - just the basic.

>> I started from an export of my Topics file.

>> I edited it in Notepad

>> I validated my code with an online validation system. (https://jsonlint.com/)

>> I saved the file as a .json with ANSI encoding

>> I attempted to uploaded the file for import and got the following message:

"There was a problem reading the file 'Passive VOC - Q2_ What do you like or dislike_ - Topics.json'. Check that your file is a valid JSON file."

Any troubleshooting tips someone can offer to get this to work? I already had a bunch of word match lists saved and was hoping to create them through the file for import to avoid manual tagging.

Thanks so much!

Best,

Mary
Hi Mary! Do you have the Qualtrics API add-on? If not, this won't work.

If so, have you already generated an API token? If not, that might be the culprit.

Both are covered here: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/actions-module/json-events/
Thank you! I don't know the answers to those questions, but know who I can check with!
