The EX product doesn’t include many solutions for a ranking question in the survey builder. Has anyone managed to use alternative question formats to achieve a ranking question? I tried Form Field but I’m unsure how to set the custom validation so that each field has a unique value between 1-6.

You can use Matrix table as rank order.

Statement should be 1, since it’s rank question.

Scale should be based on number of answer list. Then transpose your table.

Then make your question required and add validation for rank all or up to #.

Output:

We regularly use a “Bubble Burst” ranking, which is a multiple choice with text entry modified with JS. It is a easy and fun way for respondents to rank things.

I realize this is an old post, but can anyone explain how the scoring/dashboarding side of this solution works? Is there a way to rank order the final selections based on selected rankings? Or is it a case of just showing the counts within each ranking that each statement gets? Something else? Thanks in advance!

Someone has already asked this question above, but I thought I’d try my luck again. Any ideas on how best to visualise the responses in a dashboard? I want to see what the final voting is based on ranked responses. @ArunDubey @Ana_Louise ?
