The EX product doesn’t include many solutions for a ranking question in the survey builder. Has anyone managed to use alternative question formats to achieve a ranking question? I tried Form Field but I’m unsure how to set the custom validation so that each field has a unique value between 1-6.

You can use Matrix table as rank order.Statement should be 1, since it’s rank question.Scale should be based on number of answer list. Then transpose your table.Then make your question required and add validation for rank all or up to #.Output:
