I use Qualtrics to provide survey research in Higher Education for six institutions that are part of the Community Solution. The scope of my survey responsibility is everything else beyond Course Evaluations. Depending on the client and the needs of each institution, the surveys may be very different  and potential respondents vary from students, alumni, faculty, staff, and board members.

While we primarily  have graduate level degrees, there are some undergraduate programs at a few of our institutions.

I am so looking forward to attend my first Qualtrics conference!

Qualtrics is our institution’s official survey tool. As such, it’s used in a variety of ways: to conduct research, create departmental surveys, facilitate internal processes, etc.

I would like to get better at supporting users in using StatsIQ and TextIQ!

I’m currently using Qualtrics to administer Mid-Semester Feedback for select faculty. I create a directory list for each class roster so I can email the students a link to the survey. And, of course, I have to schedule multiple reminder emails to get them to participate ;). I use Reports to export a visually appealing summary of the feedback that includes an analysis with ideas the faculty member can implement. This year, I’m hoping to move our Thank a Professor program into Qualtrics to improve the student experience and decrease manual processes.  Cheers, Noreen

I work for the administration of a system of 13 public universities. In 2023, we used Qualtrics to survey students from across the system about their perceptions of free speech on campuses. Over 10,000 students responded.

We’ve used it to evaluate programs, register for workshops and meetings, and to create checklists. In the past, I used it for people to select sessions for a virtual conference. The URLs for their selected sessions were sent to respondents via email. I could see which sessions would probably have greater attendance so I could staff the virtual rooms appropriately. Our internal communications office uses Qualtrics to create monthly trivia quiz contests for employees. I was one of 7 people who won the January contest and I didn’t use my brand admin super powers to do it. :)

We are using Qualtrics for course and faculty evaluations in the school of medicine as well as to track learning environment and mistreatment data.  We use Qualtrics reporting for our course and clerkship reports but export faculty data to tableau for a faculty dashboard.  On the health sciences side, they are using Qualtrics more for research purposes.

I would love to learn more about capturing some faculty satisfaction data more rapidly in real time using QR codes or other methods and also dig in to more of the data and text analytics that Qualtrics offers.  I think we could be doing more in Qualtrics but don’t know all of its capabilities and honestly don’t know where or who to go to for some of that information.

I’d love to connect with anyone who has multiple instructors teaching in a single course and learn how they are delivering those evaluations to students.

Our institution uses Qualtrics as our main survey tool for academic and institutional research, but it’s available to all faculty, staff, and students, so there are also lots of other uses as well. I work in our institutional research and analytics group and use it every day for large scale research and student success and engagement-related projects. I’m interested in improving the integration between Qualtrics and our reporting platform (Tableau) this year, as well as continuing to streamline and automate survey administration and data cleaning/reporting processes wherever possible. We’re also interested in learning more about new features and Qualtrics extensions.

Our institution (CSUSM) uses Qualtrics as the main survey platform for all large-scale surveys for the campus, and all community members (staff/administrators/students/faculty) have access to an account with limited email distribution functionality. I do a number of our survey reports through Qualtrics and we also use it for focus group sign up using the Quota functionality. Besides working in IR, I teach part-time, and I use Qualtrics for my own internal class evaluations and office-hour signups. I signed up for the certification training, but unfortunately, I have not had the time to complete it! I’m hoping to learn more about creating dashboards in Qualtrics and text analysis.

Hello!

At Central Oregon Community College, we use Qualtrics for instructional and research purposes with IE and IRB. We also use it for standardized forms such as degree and name changes, commencement RSVP, HR exit interviews, etc. Recently, we had an amazing team effort between our IT and College Now (Dual Credit) departments to create a form to act as an application/registration tool for high school students receiving dual credit within their own high schools. This project highlighted how super powerful the Qualtrics tool really is and eliminated a very manual process.

As the new Brand Administrator, I’m just very excited to learn how to manage the back end of Qualtrics even more, and to leverage our Division Administrators. I’m excited to also learn about add-ons and extensions of Qualtrics to enhance our uses of Qualtrics even more.

Unfortunately, this post will not allow me to upload my QSF file, so here is a word document of a work in progress Qualtrics Project for our Non-Credit Tuition Waiver Form. :)

We use Qualtrics at our University primarily for surveys.  This can include surveys of our faculty, students, or for research projects.  We also explored using it for course evaluations and as a way to manage our affiliation agreements across the campus.

I’m hoping over the next year to promote use and showcase functionality of the system so we get more buy in.  Every employee and student has access but I’m not sure we’ve done all we can to get our community engaged with the product.

I have been working with Qualtrics in our university for over 5 years now! When I first started we were using it for workshop feedback surveys but we have progressively expanded so that every staff member and student now has a Qualtrics account (over 100,000 users we manage!). As a Brand Admin, we are providing support to users across all areas of research surveys. Our team is also responsible for Course Evaluations, as well as centrally deployed surveys for both staff and student populations. I’ve been to X4 once before in 2019 and it was an enlightening experience that showed me the potential for Qualtrics. I think it’s part of how I have ended up in my current role, where we’re using Qualtrics in every area of the university.

Trina_Smith

Qualtrics is the main product we use for surveys on campus from monthly student experience surveys to collaborating with other areas on campus when they do surveys. In addition, we are using Qualtrics to measure graduate effectiveness with surveys with our alumni and for evaluative research funded by grants for one of our continuing learning teams.

We’re likely the biggest campus to pioneer Qualtrics Course Evaluations and have come long way since Spring 2022. Once we fix the dashboard views of users with multiple roles, I’m excited to create dynamic dashboards that will help instructors and administrators have aggregated data ready at a glance. For now, the live response rate dashboards and automated notifications have helped us keep our response rates up!

Hi everyone,

I’m not a member of an University but as a Qualtrics certifier partner, I’ve work with some great institution in Canada, leveraging their Qualtrics solution for different use-cases or providing training to do so.

Interesting Qualtrics cases I faced last year :

  • Course evaluation by students
  • Data access management with divisions
  • Dashboard end users training
  • Subsequent surveying through workflows

It would be great to attend the X4 summit to meet other Qualtrics users and share knowledge or face new use-cases !

Rock Valley College relies on Qualtrics as its primary survey software, utilizing it for various research endeavors as well as engaging students and employees. Recently, Illinois state mandated all higher education institutions to conduct a survey for its students. Implementing a substantial amount of Display and Skip Logic for the survey was initially challenging, but Qualtrics streamlined the process once I figured out my objectives.

We have 200+ rubrics along with Standards Based Observation forms that are aligned to Initial Cert, Principal, Superintendent, Reading Specialist, Ed Diag. and TSVI standards to meet TEA, CAEP and all of their national accreditation requirements with full elements descriptors where applicable.  Along with the remaining 150 or so rubrics for program improvement to align to SACS program improvement objectives in the College of Education.

We use course evaluations (QClassroom) to distribute them to the program coordinators and external stakeholders to complete.  T-TESS for initial certification is attached.  Nothing proprietary to my university, just alignment to TEA and SBEC codes and standards.

Hi everyone,

I don't work for an educational institution, but I am a certified Qualtrics partner and we work with educational institutions on a regular basis.

Among other things, we have configured the license so that it can be easily used by all faculty working at a Quebec University. We also provide support and training to end users of the platform to ensure they get the most out of it.

I would love the opportunity to attend the X4 Summit to discover new use cases, network with other platform experts and get a taste of what's to come in the Qualtrics world! 🤞🏼

We use Qualtrics in many ways across the university. As the primary Brand Administrator and staff person in the Office of Assessment, I provide trainings and consultations on survey design and analysis, and work with academic departments on student, faculty, alumnx, and employer surveys for annual assessment and periodic program review. I also consult to other campus groups and offices to provide good survey practices and to enhance their use of Qualtrics. We have several professors who regularly engage their students in using Qualtrics for research projects, theses, and classwork. We also use Qualtrics for event registrations, applications, and institution-wide surveys. I have included a qsf file that we use with academic degree programs for their annual assessment reporting. We are hoping to explore the StatsIQ and TextIQ more this coming year.

I would love to attend X4 this year to network and learn more about new features and hear from industry leaders!!!

p.s. I, too, couldn’t attach the .qsf file so I added as a text file.
