could someone explain me why this error occured?

Hi folks, I have received a number of partially completed surveys, even though I should only receive 100% completed surveys. Could anyone explain me how I could prevent this error? I have attached a picture to show what's happening!

Can I edit a survey before it closes?

Can I edit a survey before ift closes? A grammatical error was found and I would like to correct it without interrupting the ability to gather data.

Is it possible to use quotas to limit the number of times an entry can be repeated?

Suppose I have some embedded variable "ID" that takes on integer values. Is it possible to generate quotas for each unique value? For example, suppose I want at most one submission with a given ID. So, when somebody submits with the id "2", if anybody else also submits using the ID "2", the quota action will occur. If they submit with any other ID, everything works normally. Is this something I can achieve in Qualtrics?

Piped Text for Reports - How to display meaningfully responses to a question that used piped text?

Kia ora, I used piped text for a question with a free-text response field. The piped text displayed the highest ranked option from the previous question. When displaying and presenting the free-text responses, is it possible to link the text responses with the piped text used in the question (that is, their highest ranked option from the previous question)? Ideally, it would be great if it is possible to collate and present the text responses under the corresponding ranked options from the previous question.

Where are my ticks?

Hello there. New here and my first post! I am teaching myself how to use Qualtrics and want to delete some dummy responses we put in during testing (just found out how to avoid that next time!). But for this time, I do not see the tick box column like in this screenshot so I cannot select the responses to delete them. Thank you. !

Randomization

I was just wondering if there was a way to effectively have Qualtrics randomize part of a question? Specifically, I'm wanting to present 4 images side-by-side (from a pool of 6 or so) and have some text directly underneath them. I know you could make a separate question for each of the 6 different, ask Qualtrics to randomly present 4, and then have text as the next question, but then the images aren't presented together. Is there any way of organising it so that they are?

I have finished making my survey, however: my survey starts at question number 5 and not at the beginning. I would like to distribute my survey as soon as possible, but are unable to do so now.

reshowing a randomized selection

I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can show a random selection (4 out of a possible 6 items) and then reshow that same selection of 4 again? For example, I am trying to organize my survey so that users see a selection of 4 items, and then later they see the exact same 4 things and rate them. I have no problems with getting Qualtrics to show them 4 random items, but I can't figure out how to get Qualtrics to 'remember' the 4 shown, and then reshow them later on. Can anyone help? Ryan

Math operations based on responses within the same block

I would want the respondents to get real-time feedback by making a simple math operation based on response. They would pick a number and a potential payoff would be automatically displayed. They could adjust their responses and see what their total payoff would be. Could someone help me?

how to create even spacing on Likert scale with text anchors

I am using a 5-point Likert scale with a text anchor at each end. The spacing between the points is not even because of the text. Is there a way to fix this so it is visually "correct"? I make a graphic with the anchors, but the survey has to be in multiple languages so that is not a real solution.

How do I add a "withdraw from study" button at the end of each block?

I am currently building my survey and would like to add the option to withdraw from the survey at the end of each block. If the participant chooses to withdraw from the survey, they will be directed to a thank you page. Can someone help me out? Thank you in advance!

Totaling number throughout a survey

Hi, I'm trying to total recoded values throughout the survey with multiple blocks. Each block has a recoded value from a multi choice multi answer question type, I would like to display the results on the final page. So Q1 results are 1,2,4 and Q2 2,4,5 and Q3 1, if I add them all they should total 19. What would be the best way to implement the count. Thank you in advance! Karim

How to delete metadata from collected data?

Due to GDPR I have to delete personal metadata like: IP adress, Location longitude, and Location latitude. Unfortunately there do not seem to be a simple solution in Research Core when it comes to data _already_ collected. Perhaps you have an idea how to solve this?

How can I get the embedded data (email address) to work in the email trigger?

I have the embedded data from 1 survey, linked to the contact. The embedded data works for the first link, but not on the final response. When the response is complete, the email trigger is set to send the response. ${e://Field/SM%20Email},${e://Field/Add%20Emails},accorhotelsinsights@psav.com Currently, only the @psav.com email is receiving the completed response. Any suggestions?

how to mask question text based on display logic?

I want to send the same survey to multiple locations in order to facilitate collecting and analyzing the response data. One of the first questions in the survey will be on location (e.g., New York, Boston, London, etc.) will have single-answer radio button choices. I want to change the display text for the question based on the respondent's location (e.g. What is your favorite flavor of gelatin? for New York and Boston, vs. What is your favourite flavour of jelly? for London) but still collect the responses in the same question. Is it possible to mask the question text based on display logic? Using translation (en-US vs. en-UK) won't work, because it is possible for New York and Boston to have differently-worded questions on the same topic with the same answer choices.

How much time do you typically set the "Survey Expiration" date range under Survey Tools? Is 30 days too long to keep the survey open? Should I uncheck it and just leave the survey link accessible longer? Thanks, Helen

Is there a way to include a back arrow on an "End of Survey" page?

Hello! We use a Qualtrics survey for admissions to one of our academic programs, and the survey is set up to funnel applicants to an end screen if they indicate that they haven't completed one of the requirements. Is there a way to add a back arrow on the end screen so that if someone accidentally says they haven't done something when they really have, they don't have to start over?

Easiest way for Qualtrics to assign participant numbers starting at 1.

I would like Qualtrics to assign a number to each participant who starts a survey, beginning with 1 and counting up by 1 each participant. This number will need to be piped into a question in the middle of the survey. Is there any way to do this, preferably without using Java or the API.

Creating a Specific Question Type, is it possible?

Hi 😀 I would like to create a question type that looks like the picture below - where I have spaces on the left for responses, and a body of text on the right. My aim is to set up a task where survey respondents would copy and paste incorrect/non-sense words from the text body to the response spaces. I am looking to run a motivation/performance experiment within my survey. Is this possible? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work? I see that I can create it with the body of text on the top and text-box responses beneath, but my preference is to have the response spaces on the left as in the picture, for ease of completing the task. Scrolling up and down to identify incorrect words, copy, then paste makes the task unwieldy and increases the chances of participant attrition. Regards, Belinda !

we get high volume responses for our open text questions - and it has been very cumbersome to read each comment and assign a theme ie. Technical issue,Positive comments etc.. Is there some way of taking the manual process away
