Having people go over questions for multiple responses?

I have a survey where I'm trying to have people answer the same questions for multiple responses. So let's say someone selects "Apples" and "Bananas" for their choices, next I want to ask them a series of questions for both apples and bananas like "What do you like about the taste" or "Do you like their color?" and have them first answer these questions for apples then the same repeated questions for bananas. How can I do that?

Set question labels to match question numbers?

My questions are long and very similar to one another. I have written short question labels as I went along (in the question numbers box), but not question labels. Is there a way to simply reset all question labels to match question numbers/names?

Force response with custom timer

Hi All, I have a custom timer with force response. The timer works fine without the Qualtric's force response feature. However, when I add force response, the last question before time is up always awaits a response before auto-advancing to the next block. Ideally I want the survey to auto-advance when time is up even if no response is submitted on the last question page within the timed block. Any suggestions on how to achieve this? I describe how I set up my custom timer below: First, at the question that I want to declare as the start time, add this to the JavaScript editor: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() { Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('StartTime', new Date().getTime()); }); Second, instantiate the StartTime embedded data field in the Survey Flow. Third, choose “Look & Feel”, “Advanced”, add the following to the header source code: ! Fourth, add the following to the header source code as well between <script> tags: ! Fifth, under “Look

Not displaying a question using "Carry Forward" on a previous question

The first questions is, for example: Have you tried this flavour of ice cream? Chocolate yes / no Vanilla yes / no Strawberry yes / no Depending on the answer, the person is directed to 2 different questions using the "carry forward" function for each item. If all the answers are "Yes", how do I keep the No question from displaying? I´m able to achieve the "not displaying" part when all answers are "no" using display logic but not the other way around. Thanks!

Search and replace within a single block or within the library (not across whole survey)?

Hello, I need to search and replace several words and phrases within half the blocks in my survey, but not the other half. One way would be to do search and replace within a single block. Another would be to copy only the relevant blocks to the library and do them all there. Is there a way for me to use Tools -> Review -> Search and Replace just within a single block, or alternatively, in the library? I've tried, but haven't found a way,

Hi! I'd like to ask if it's possible to make a question like this (simplified right now): Q1: What do you like. Multiple answers can be chosen. Force response 1) Banana 2) Apple 3) Strawberry 4) Kiwi --> For example number 1 and 3 are selected Q2: If you really have to choose between your selected answers of Q1, which one would you prefer? Can the toolbar in the email editor be fixed to the top

For the tool bar in the email editor it would be a great help to have it fixed at the top so when I scroll it does not disappear from view. Currently the editor is in a modal window and it is cumbersome when editing.

Starting point for sliders

I'm constructing a survey with a number of slider questions that range on a 1-5 scale from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree". What are people's opinions on setting the default position for the slider in the middle (at the neutral position) compared to starting them at the low end of the scale?

Randomize blocks

Hi everyone, For my thesis I have to do an online experiment with 4 conditions. I cannot figure out how to randomize different blocks with the same image.. What I want to accomplish: the same image (randomized of 4) in different blocks. In addition, of the 4 conditions, 2 are dependent on nationality (Dutch and French). Is it possible to show a different condition depending on the answer respondents give on their nationality? I hope this is clear.. I would really appreciate your help.

Hello Can anyone help me understand how to use JavaScript within Qualtrics? I'm trying to say "If QID1=2 then set QID2=2", but I can't work out how to write the "QID1=2" part. This is what I have so far, but how do I refer to QID1 from within QID2? They are both Multiple Choice. [Within QID2] Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() { if ( ??? getChoiceValue(2) == true) {this.setChoiceValue(2, true)} }); I've been looking at the API documentation, but there are very few examples, and none on how to use it to refer to another question. Other (Please Specify) Text Entry - Won't Export

I have a question that is a multiple select carry forward ranking question with an "Other (Please Specify)" option. I can see that in the Data & Analysis section that there is text in the response but when I export, the column titled "Among the list of selections you just made, please rank the broadband issues in order of importance with 1 being the most important and 3 being the least important. - Other (Please Specify) - Text" is blank for all entries. Is there something I need to change for the data to appear in export?

Can you use logic to determine number of statements in a matrix table?

I'm creating a question in which I ask respondents to give me a numeric response to a question (How many [x] do you have?). Based on the number they select, I'd like to populate that same number of statements in a matrix table where the respondent can provide further detail about each individual [x]. I've yet to figure out a way to do this. My workaround currently is that if a user selects 1-5 for [x], they'll see a matrix with up to 5 statements. If they select 6-10 for [x], they'll see a matrix with up to 10 statements... Hopefully that makes sense. If anyone has any insight that would be great!

Does anyone know how to translate the subject line of an email distribution?

I have a multi-lingual survey (28 languages) that I have ported over from another survey platform. On the other platform the subject line of the invite/reminder was part of a general translation file. On the Qualtrics platform I have translated the invitation and the reminder and I need the message to be sent with the Subject line in the same language as the body of the email. Haven't found anything on this in the online documentation of this forum. Thanks in advance for your help.

The limitations of the new reporting/advanced reporting

My report building tab updated a few months ago and I have discovered a few limitations with the new reporting that prevent me from using it. I am curious if anyone has found solutions or workarounds for these limitations, and if there are other limitations to the new reporting that I am unaware of. These are the current limitations I have found. * Data tables displaying data from all items in a matrix question will only calculate percentages based off of column totals, not row totals. In Results report you have the option of choosing between row or column totals. This is hugely problematic for me and is the main reason I do not use the new reporting. * Results tables with text entry responses are limited to 100 entries. Even when you convert the report to a PDF, there is no button to download all of the text entry responses in the table like there is for Results Reporting. * Reports generated in New Reporting cannot be exported to Word, only PDF. I am trying to find a way to exp

Images from Library are blocked on the invite email.

I have setup an invite email with images from the client group library, however the client is saying the images are not visible when they receive a scheduled invite email, they are also not able to right click on it and download the image from their email client. Their security settings do not allow the images to come through. Has anyone been able to by pass these client side settings so to allow the images through without them having to change their internal security settings?
