Turning on "anonymise responses" on an active survey?

I recently published a survey and have collected several responses so far. I’m just wonder if it’s possible for me to turn on the “anonymise responses” mode while the survey is active. If I do so, will it corrupt my responses I've already collected in anyway? Or is it perfectly fine?

Turing the “anonymise responses” option while collecting the data should not affect the existing data, however, do note that, Qualtrics “hides” the PII information of existing respondents while for new respondents it simply does not collect.
