Is there a way to customise a thank you email that is sent to finished respondents?
For example, can I include a copy of the respondent’s answer to specific quesitons on my survey?
Also, could I have 3 different email templates that could be sent specific to Detractors, Passives and Promotors?

Hi,
You can use workflows triggered by survey completion and define conditions for their executions. In your case, you’d need 3 workflows triggered by survey completion, followed by conditions on your NPS group, followed by email tasks.
You can include the default response summary when sending a follow-up email, or design your own report in the email itself with html and piped-in text.

I set up a workflow at project level to send a thank you email as per your advice.
Unfortunately, my email won’t send and it seems to be a problem with the ‘To’ field on the email task.
I have tried both piping in my email embedded data field and including ‘recipient email’ from the panel field option. Neither works and it tells me that this field is missing when the task fails.
It’s hard to say without seeing your overall setup, but if your using a regular distribution, ${m://Email} should work fine unless you’re anonymizing your respondents’ answers at some point.
