Hi everyone,

 

I’m creating a survey in which respondents will enter their email addresses, which I will use later to send follow-up emails. I want to ensure that the email addresses they enter are correct, to avoid typos. Does anyone know of a way in Qualtrics to validate or double-check the email field as participants enter it?

You could ask respondents to enter their email in two separate fields, and use custom validation to check that the entries made in the two fields match one another.

Hi ​@MatthewM, I had that in mind, but I am thinking if there is a better way to check (through some API of email validator or something of that sort).

You can integrate the Verifalia widget.into your survey. It is a paid service with pricing based on number of validations.

All the email verification api’s I’ve seen have a similar pricing model. Free for some small amount of validations, then paid for anything over that.
