Improving response rates for email survey invites

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi,

We are struggling with lower response rates to our Qualtrics email survey invites (5%) compared to 2-way SMS (10%). Have read some articles on this that give tips on how to improve like this one https://www.qualtrics.com/experience-management/research/tools-increase-response-rate/ but so far not having a notable impact and we don’t have budget at this time for prize draws/incentivisation.

Does anyone have any advice please on what wording to use for subject line and the email itself to boost response rates.

Thanks,

Nick

Is your “From Name/Address” customized to your brand?

Have you attempted some different subject lines: typically somehing making the user feel they are needed helps.

Is your CTA large enough for the user’s the find, the “Take Survey now” link tends to get lost sometime.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Several factors could be influencing the response rates. Are you comparing rates from the same survey, with only the distribution method varying?

It might also be helpful to check completion rates to see if there are any differences. Are respondents not starting the survey at all (which could be assessed through email open rates), or are they dropping out before finishing? If they are quitting, at what point in the survey does this happen? These are a few key aspects I'd examine before determining what adjustments might be necessary.

Cheers,
