I have a supplemental data source containing a list of teachers' information (including IDs, names, etc.). I would like to populate the dropdown dynamically using the embedded data from the supplemental data source. Is it possible to do so?

You may want to consider using dynamic 'Piped Value' (e.g., ${e://Field/FirstName}) instead of static names in the files you using to import choices in 'Drilldown' questions. Additionally, ensure that your 'Embedded Variables' are placed at the top before your question block in the 'Survey Flow'.

How are you verifying this? I trust you're testing it in the following manner:
1. Import your contact list into XM directory, including all Embedded Fields.
2. Create personalized links for these contacts and then distribute those links to customers.
If you're attempting it in Preview Mode or Preview Email, it won't function correctly.
I am not using a Contact List for Embedded Fields, but from Supplemental Data Source.

If you're attempting to use Anonymous links, I don't believe it will be effective for your purpose.
