My data on the dashboard is not showing respondents. When I view my updates from “Update all responses with current metadata” I see the following details.

Updates failed for participants: 585

Total participants with responses: 585

Does this mean the updates are failing and how do I fix?

yes, your data is not uploaded in dashboard database. Please let me know which file format you are using, .CSV or .CSV UTF-8? also confirm are the fields already created in dashboard database and you are adding additional data?


Using .csv utf-8 and the fields are already created in the dashboard. 


There are multiple things which can cause data import failure. 

 

  1. if possible use .csv instead of UTF-8 to avoid special characters import failure.
  2. better to use the existing imported file format. download the existing database paste new data in it.
  3. all date’s format should “yyyy-mm-ddThh🇲🇲ss-+HH:MM”.

The data is importing fine. In fact, the participant meta data when I look through participants or even export participants is perfect match, but the responses in the dashboard are not updating.


When the dashboard loads it literally has the data and then only pulls since the update:
