Is it possible to create one report that combines the results of multiple surveys? | XM Community
Skip to main content
The organization for which I volunteer collects participant evaluations after each public education program completed. I plan to create a survey for each program (rate the presentation, rate the presenter's skills, etc.) and will run a report per program. However, the organization would also like a report that provides an overall picture of all the programs combined, i.e. of all the 2018 programs, x percent of participants rated the content as excellent, etc. Is this a feature and, if so, is there a link in the community that provides step-by-step instructions? I apologize if this is repeat question, but I couldn't find an answer when I searched extensively. Thank you!
@RachelV if these surveys haven't been created yet, the best practice would be to do this in one project within Qualtrics rather than making each survey it's own project. I do this frequently for course evaluations at my university. I've attached an example. We then use query string URLS (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/standard-elements/passing-information-through-query-strings/) to make sure students get the correct inputs into their class title and instructor. To set this up:

* Query string - take your survey link and add a variable to this (in my attached example that's Source=CourseNumber)

* Update your Survey Flow (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/survey-flow-overview/) with (1) Embedded data as your first element that refers to the variable in your Query String (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/standard-elements/embedded-data/), (2) branching logic with the query string value and indented embedded data fields for the variables you want to change in the program such as presenter name (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/standard-elements/branch-logic/), (3) Then at the first level you have your survey blocks, and (4) an end of survey element if you want to customize their ending

* In the survey itself, you will pipe text that refers to the embedded data variables (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/editing-questions/piped-text/piped-text-overview/) this will get things like the class and presenter names to show

If these have been distributed separately already, here's a page on combining the results into one survey file https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/data/combining-responses/
Thank you so much for your response and the detailed information and the survey example. I greatly appreciate it!
