Has anyone had successful /creative ways of getting people to take a survey online when you don't initiate contact via the web? We have many customers that we'd like to survey, but we only have physical addresses for them. Any tips on getting them to take the step to go online to take the survey without sending a ton of money? What kind of response rate is typical?
Are you able to collect their emails in person moving forward? From there you can send them links w/ distributions?
I would consider including easy ways to access such as a qr code to get to the survey. No clue how response rate will be though

@RachelTHREE and @AnthonyR - Thanks for your thoughts.

We do collect emails whenever possible, but we do not sell direct and therefore at a good amount of our data is provided to us through our channel partners. A large portion of our historic data has company, address, and contact name but not necessarily an email. We could send an invitation via snail mail to take a survey including a QR code and/or an easy to remember URL, but will it be successful enough to offset the cost of mailing? Maybe.
