Background:

I have a survey with multiple open text questions. Example,

  • Tell us how we can make X better
  • Tell us how we can make Y better
  • Tell us how we can make Z better

I want to have one word cloud widget that shows combined results from X, Y, and Z (all of the open text question responses.)

I only see an option to choose one question’s responses. Is there a way in the data setup where I can make one field that combines all of the open text from the questions responses?

I actually answered my own question… Just needed to dig a bit!

After going into the field editor, choose “Create Field” and use the Combine option will allow you to combine two or more fields into one. I believe, as long as the field types are the same and “open text” you should be able to add those in the Text IQ section in your survey or dashboard. Then, you can add a word cloud widget for that new combined field.
