Can I change question names and labels while a survey is still open without deleting data?

I had to add some questions at the last minute before rushing a survey out, and didn't have time to edit question names or labels.
1. Can I change those two things while the survey is still open without losing data?
2. If not, can I do it once the survey is closed with no repercussions?
