Hi Community,


I am planning to use Workflow for create custom alert for our team via email task. There’s only 1 receiver that take charge of the case and the others from different department will support it if necessary. They should be kept in a compact email loop to keep track of things.

The ideal email should be sent to 1 main receiver and CC to multiple supporters. However, the email task only allows 1 CC email address. We already try to create an email group, but the protocol only let group to be internally.

How can I bypass this or create a work around? Any idea would be appreciated.

Using standard options, this wasn’t feasible. We decided to include everyone in the ‘To’ address and added the case owner's name in the email salutation or greeting to indicate who needs to take action.


Hi, that will be a very good idea. But the main point of this requirement is to keep the solving team in one compact email loop. They see each other, they know who’s in charge and if there’s any thing they can provide help by reply to the email, everyone could see it. These all can be solve via ticket but when client are getting ready for it, we have to find the workaround
After 1 month of finding solution, we came up with various choices, so I’m going share it incase someone need it. Basically we find a 3rd Email service/automation to send the email.

  1. Use Google App Script and let Qualtrics API Task in workflow send info to the Script endpoint, this is our first consider because it’s free for 250 email/day
  2. Microsoft Power Automate and Amazon SES also have the same feature
  3. Some other auto email service like MailGun

We did chose Power Automate because own Microsoft license already included it. So if you’re stumble upon this, check your Organization’s Google/Microsoft license.
