Upload mailing list to SFTP?

Does anyone know if there is a way to upload a mailing list to SFTP?

 

I’ve been looking through the workflow task options and it doesn’t appear you can extract a mailing list?

 

Unfortunately my organisation requires all emails to be sent via Marketing Cloud, so we can’t use Qualtrics for survey invite emails. As a workaround, if we’re able to get email addresses and survey links uploaded to our SFTP server, we can then get marketing cloud to do the rest. I’ve managed to connect the SFTP server but of course the workflow requires an extract task first.


Can anyone help to point me in the right direction or am I trying to do the impossible??

I'm not actually looking to extract from an SFTP file, rather I'm looking to upload mailing list data/survey links to an SFTP file. Do you know if this can be done?

@JamesM I understand what you’re trying to do but generate unique link is not an option at workflow as i know.

Handling an JSON object is more complicate than a excel file but i believe it’s the way for things to go autonomously

In simple terms…

  • Create a Qualtrics survey
  • Create a mailing list/segment in Qualtrics
  • Send unique invites out to those on the mailing list/segment via Marketing cloud

Yes it will. Give your tech guy the API document and he will know what to do to create an autonomous flow. We used to do this in our case to send personal survey link to customers through OTT message App for better response rate.

You can still use webservice workflow for API but the result will be JSON, not a file to send through SFTP. I recommend using other method and server that your IT guys prefer for better data manipulating
