I have some timed questions on a survey and I'd like to show the timer, but the look of the default timer in qualtrics seems visually distracting. I'm hoping for something more subtle (e.g. simple light gray numerals on a white background). Is there a way to change the look of the timer?

+27You can override the .FlipClock CSS properties with Custom CSS.

Find a .FlipClock CSS rule and click on the link to the associated style sheet. You'll see all the rules and properties pertaining to the flip-click listed there. You can override any of the properties or add new ones if needed.
