Dynamically adding a dollar sign before or after a Constant Sum depending on the language

Does anyone know how to add dollar sign depending on language? For English, the dollar sign needs to be before the text box but for French it has to be after.

Alert Message once respondents have answered X correct responses

Hi all, I have a long side by side question with one column with options Yes/No. Options are scored as 1 when correct and 0 when false. I would like to have a Pop-up/Alert message that appears on the screen once respondents have passed a certain threshold of correct answers. The message would say something like "You have passed the test, any additional corrected responses will add on as bonus points". I am new to Javascript. does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!

How to use URL as source to integrate audio in the survey using the Loop-and-Merge function?

Hello,I would like to show audio samples to my participants. There are 44 sounds, and the plan is that all participants listen to all of the 44 sounds. I have listed them (their url) in the Loop-and-Merge box (see attached file).Now, I would like to call the sounds in a block. I am, using this code:Your browser does not support the audio element.But no sound loads.Am I wrong in the way I specified the parameters here?Thanks very much in advance for your time and help!

Store and Access Each Radio Button Click

I am trying to pass more than one line of information to a Qualtrics survey through embedded data. Google Drive URL failing to load audio file when piping link through Merge and Loop

I am pretty new to Qualtrics but I think I am trying to do the right thing and still facing an issue. I am trying to embed audio using a direct link from Google Drive. I am using the following HTML tag and am able to successfully load the audio file and play it. http://docs.google.com/uc?export=open&id=1Zew7sqHFciu-kcEq5rGhTbq62cWiO3-U">Now I want to do this for 500+ files. I am using the Loop and Merge functionality to pipe the link from the table and now it is unable to load the audio file. I have double checked and the content in the piped string in correct. I am not sure why it isn't working, I have also tried adding/replacing things like type="audio/wav".

Is there a way to make a survey flow loop?

Hi. I am working on a survey project where I need participants to be able to go back to a specific question/block and select another choice and be able to do that over and over again until the select a specific choice. I am wondering if it is possible to create a sort of survey flow loop. I tried to do this with branch logic, but I am having a problem. Let me break down the situation so that it is easier to followQuestion 1 is the question that I want to go back to. It has 3 choices: A, B, C. and participants who select a choice will be taken to a different question that corresponds with the choice, I have it set up in survey flow to do that using branches. Then, once the participant has seen that question, they will be taken back to the block where Question 1 is. And it does display Question 1 again. The problem comes that when I add the block where Question 1 is, it does not keep repeating the branch, and instead if I select a different choice, it ends the survey. I need it to be a

Is there a way to get clips from your library to autoplay?

I'm currently putting together an experimental survey questionnaire where participants watch a clip and then answer a series of questions that occur after the clip. I need the clip to autoplay because the participant cannot take breaks etc. between clips as they are all excerpts from a short story and it will disrupt the flow/make the results unreliable if participants are clicking at different time points whereas if the clip is on autoplay participants will be more similar in time stamp (the participants are students within a tutorial class, so they will be using the same computers etc. so the timing should be similar). Participants will be informed beforehand that the clips will autoplay as well so they will be able to expect it/be prepared and not be taken by surprise/miss parts of the video if it autoplays. I have tried to set autoplay up by adding ?autoplay=1 and autoplay="true" in the following HTML;type="video/mp4">

Include Display-Logic and Validation in a Side-by-Side-Questions

Hi!I'm trying to implement a display-logic and validation on columns in a side-by-side-question.When a participant doesn't check the middle option (neutral) but one of the other four options in the first column, the second and third column should appear. And a validation should happen that the particpant picked one of the options provided in the dropdown-list (not the standard one = "keine Wirkung")I know there might be better options with different question types, but the side-by-side works best for the questions we'd like to ask.I guess this might only be possible with a custom Javascript? Thanks for any help!

How to assign a new value to {q://QID98/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}

In my survey, there is a multiple-choice Question 98, which has answers: "Yes" or "No".After the survey user typed in the answer and variable {q://QID98/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices} has been assigned "Yes" or "No", I want to conditionally modify its value based on a previous question, say, Question 50.Below is a pseudocode to show what I want to achieve:If "{q://QID50/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}" == "Yes" {{q://QID98/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}="Yes" } In other words, If Question 50 was answered "Yes", then the value of the Question 98 answer is forced to be 'Yes' (regardless of what the survey user actually typed).If Question 50 was answered "No", then the value of the Question 98 answer will be what the survey user actually typed. How to ask "Fill in the blanks in a paragraph" type questions

Hi there. I am using Qualtrics to give language exams at a university and I would like to write "fill in the blanks in a paragraph" type questions. Because Qualtrics does not have the fill in the blank question type, I prepared one as an html form like the one below. And I prepared 8 text entry type questions and hid them through display logic. My question is: Is there a way to link each of these blanks with one of the hidden questions, thus when a student fill in those blanks, the answers are entered to hidden questions automatically and I can collect student answers in Data&Analysis tab? Or is there a way to store what is written in the blanks as embedded data? Thanks in advance.

Advanced loop & merge from a matrix

So I took a 4-5 year break from Qualtrics and now I am very rusty.... I have a 5-point matrix scale (strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, and strongly agree). I want to loop & merge from BOTH "strongly disagree" and "disagree" but only use one follow-up question. Qualtrics support just told me this isn't possible that if you want a Looped question for both "Disagree" and "Strongly Disagree" options I will need to have two questions. Has anyone else learned how to program this workaround?!?! I use to program this type of question all the time so it is super frustrating I can't remember how :(

I want to allow participants to go back in most of the pages of the survey, but there are some pages where I don't want them to be able to go back. How do I disable the previous button in the middle of the survey?

Carrying forward entered Text from one matrix to another

Hi!I am working on developing a network survey to do some social network analysis. I've gotten so far as to be able to allow participants to list all the people they've talked to about their work in the past few weeks, and they are able to add as many folks as they need to. You can find the first matrix below.In short, I need to pull whoever they list into a series of matrices on the following page of the survey, which will ask about the frequency and nature of their interaction. I've been able to have these choices carry forward using the "All choices - entered text", however, it then shows something along these lines: Ideally, I would have an option that would say something along the lines of "Displayed - Entered Text" as a carry forward option, although that doesn't seem to exist in qualtrics. Do any of y'all have any javascript workarounds to help me out? Thank you so much! :)Best,Dave

Iframe in survey "refused to connect"

I am trying to embed a website into my survey using an iframe. However, instead of loading the content I get a message that says that the website refused to connect. From looking around the Qualtrics community, it seems that this has something to do with X-frame restrictions, but I am a novice when it comes to these types of things. Is this issue something that I can resolve or will my iframe just not work?
