Does anyone know how the category score (e.g., % favorable) is calculated in EX. Is it the average of the items in the category or is it the sum of the favorable responses divided by the sum of all the responses in the category? It is a subtle difference - and would be more important when the number of respondents varies significantly by the questions in the category. But I want to make sure we can communicate it correctly.
