Survey Platform

Hi everyone,I’m hoping someone can help me with an issue I’m having.In my Survey flow, I’ve set up an embedded data field that’s determined by the URL.For example, ?source=Label or ?source=Social.  This part is working correctly, and the data is being captured as expected in the Data & Analysis section.However, I’ve also created a workflow to pipe all the data into a Google Sheet.The only field that isn’t being transferred is Source. For this field, I’m using the expression ${e://Field/Source}. Does anyone have any ideas on why this might be happening? Thanks :) 🤞

I am new to qualtrics and have little experience with technology. I am trying to calculate a Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index which requires a calculation between three different questions. Can anyone help me figure out how to do this within Qualtrics? I am willing to pay for hours spent tutoring/helping. 

I need to CC an email address (different for each contact) when sending an email for survey distribution. I read about “Setting up a Send a Survey via Email Task”, but when trying on this solution I can’t get the CC email address field from the contacts list embedded data fields. Any ideas on this? 

Qualtrics reports is not saving my edits. The platform indicates that changes are saved; however, when I log out and log back in, the changes were not saved.Any ideas or suggestions?Thanks!Chipper

Hello All,I have a survey that call a web service to pull data base on who is taking the survey. The survey flow is sending the person ID to lookup their info from the web service. The survey flow get the data from the web service and set the data as embedded data. The survey then present the embedded data on a MC question type.The issue we are running into is that SOMETIME the data doesn’t come back quickly enough before the survery move on to the next step to present the MC choices. Because of this, answer choice selection are sometime blank. Is there a way to slow down or extend the call before it move on to the next step? Thank you!Jody

I have an anonymous survey link onto which I’ve added some query strings. For one of the URL query strings I would like to set a range rather than a consistent value, so urlexample.com?id_range:01-100 Then I would like to have a text entry question with custom validation (I believe the best way to do this, though maybe just in the java editor) to only accept answers within the range specified in the URL query string range (so in the example, 01 through 100). I do have id_range set as an embedded variable from the URL in the survey flow. Thank you!

Hello, since today, I have encountered an issue managing my surveys. When I click on a survey in my projects page, I only see a blank screen, and the editing page does not load at all. On the browser's developer tools console, I see the following error: Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token (at 2166.103f6253452a64bbca40.min.js:1:1)The other sections (distribution, data and analysis, etc.) work when accessed through the menu that appears after right-clicking the survey.I would appreciate any help, since as of now I cannot edit any of my surveys.Thank you. P.S I also have not found any way to report this technical bug properly...

Hello, I am displaying images (at the top of the page) and then two related questions (just below the image). Questions are radio button choices and they are always the same regardless of images (there are 16 images altogether randomly presented). This part is working fine with Loop and Marge (with three fields, Field-1: image link from library, Field-2: image_type, Filed-3: image_name) I want to know: Which image was presented, type of image, answer choice selected for Q1, answer choice selected for Q2. I have created embedded data (16 images x 4) 64 fields (it’s a messy way) but having difficulties in saving the data:Image name (Filed 3, working fine, I can save it with embedded data) Image type (Filed 2, working fine, I can save it with embedded data) Which answer was selected for the image for Question-1 (Not working, I can’t save it with embedded data) Which answer was selected for the image for Question-2(Not working, I can’t save it with embedded data) I want the data (after exp

Hi, In order to save time and minimise possible mistakes, I'm looking to duplicate an existing survey I've created and tweak it quite a bit for a different group of people. (I know I could add a branch logic etc., but that would complicate things further).I just could not see anything in the support database on how to do this. Is it even possible? I have been uploading audio files to enable Qualtrics to be accessible for a survey aimed at people with intellectual disabilities. I have been uploading the audio files and they are saved in the Qualtrics library.  However, one (184KB) has the error message ‘ This plug in is not supported.’  Can anyone advise why this error has only just occured?

Hi Community,Is there any way to upload custom json file in textIQ. Exported the topics from Qualtrics survey as Json and imported it into Excel. The above image is the output of json file in Excel.As you can see, topicID is unique it creates by itself when we create topics in textiQ, but what if I want to add additional topics to it.

I’m working with one survey and we’re thinking of sourcing respondents from two different panel providers at the same time. I’ve already set up redirect URLs for provider #1, but we’re not getting enough responses, so we’re considering using provider #2. How can I configure redirects for the second panel on the same survey? From what I can tell, the 'End of Survey' block only allows one redirect link. Can someone assist?

I have a faculty member I am working with who wants to use Qualtrics to sign up for site locations that only accept a certain number of applicants. We set up the sites to disappear when the quota for that particular site is reached. This has worked fine for testing until we came to a road block. They want to present the survey to 30+ students at the same time to make it as fair as possible for them to sign up since these sites are on a first-come, first-serve basis. When we did a trial run, we realized that when students are signing up for the same location while in the survey around the same time, Qualtrics will let the survey go through even though the choice is over quota. After some reading, I understand now that quotas don’t increment until a user submits their response. With that being said, is there any way for an email to be automaticaly sent to the student if they did go over quota to have them retake the survey or present an error of some sort? And if not, is there any other

Has anyone set up a survey with multiple channels of access (both an emailed personal link and anonymous link/QR code)? I am envisioning a scenario where individuals would be invited to participate in a survey immediately following an interaction/experience through the use of a QR code/anonymous link if the individual chooses not to utilize the QR code/anonymous link the next day they would be added to a survey distribution and subsequent reminders using the Send Survey via Email Task. In both scenarios, the individual would authenticate into the survey against a Contact List.Obviously, I do not want to invite someone to participate via email that already completed the survey via QR code/anonymous link. I’m planning to use the ETL workflow in Qualtrics to set up a daily invitation to those that completed the interaction/experience but I am getting on hung up on how and where to insert the step remove records that already completed the survey. Thanks for any suggestion/insight you can p

Hi, we have sent an email from SF Marketing cloud to a sample, and then a survey from Qualtrics to the same sample.As a result the number of hard bounces is different in both systems.Has anyone had same issues and looked into them? Hi all,I have a survey that is accessed via QR code in our physical locations. We collect their name and phone number. In the workflow, they will receive a text 4 hours later that contains a link for a post-visit survey. It is possible that we will receive phone numbers from the USA, as well as international numbers, so I cannot use the regular phone number validation. The issue I am having is custom validation. I don’t want to require the respondents to enter the plus sign like: +1 (USA) or +44 (UK) for example when entering their cell phone number, because its not natural for someone to do. However, in order to receive an SMS, the 1 or 44, etc. is required or the SMS workflow trigger fails. I had used AI (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Qualtrics AI support) to create and test custom validation using “Matches regex” and it WORKED a month ago.. but now I see that it has stopped working. I’ve gone back in and tried various coding for matches-regex.. and nothing seems to do be doing the trick. Peo

It is not possible to include additional department heads directly on a ticket when a customer complaint spans multiple departments. Creating a multi-department ticket team or group would only overload dashboards and add unnecessary clutter without improving resolution.A more effective approach would be to enable a ticket owner the ability to CC individuals. This would ensure the appropriate departments are notified of complaints that affect them, while the ticket owner remains accountable for resolution. Visibility through CC would support faster problem-solving and provide valuable insight for process improvements across the business.Let’s improve the current ticketing process with this option. I’m sure there are many incidents for other companies that could relate to this issue and are looking for ways to improve the current ticketing platform. 

BLUF: Code to change background color of a single column in a Matrix Table----------Hello Qualtrics user community,          I’m desperate for an assist in getting some functional code that will allow changing color of a single column in a Matrix Table question.  In my particular case, it’s a 7-point Likert scale and we want to make option/column 8 (Not Applicable) a different color from the rest of the matrix, so that respondents don’t accidentally select N/A when they really Strongly Agree.  The goal is to get something that looks like this:          This topic has been addressed multiple times over the years on the Qualtrics forums, with multiple code/solutions offered.  But unfortunately, previously accepted solutions/code from certified Qualtrics wizards like ​@TomG and others aren’t working for me.  I’ve tried every solution offered across all the discussion threads, including Javascript within the question, Custom CSS applied to the whole survey, and strategically adding !import

Hi, we have an employee engagement survey where parts of the organization participate via an anonymous link (factory workers with no access to pc or mail). The org hierarchy question per se is very overwhelming for them as it is massive and the factories are only 4-5 units within a hierarchy of over 40 units. We now want to simplify the selection for them. Does anybody have any ideas how to achieve this? My thought was to create a simple multiple choice question and then via the survey flow somehow connect the selected answer to a part in the org hierarchy but according to support the only way to connect something a  unit in the org hierarchy is the org hierarchy question itself. However, the question can also not be made “smaller” or pre-filtered. I’d appreciate any input and brainpower here :) Thanks!  

Good day, I have a user who wants to have a survey that, when completed, will generate an Outlook calendar entry for the user taking the survey. I have seen some information on adding a Google calendar entry, but we specifically need it to be for Outlook.Is there a way to do this in Qualtrics without the need of a third party service?  I haven;t been able to find a solution. Thanks,JohnB

I have a list of 39 questions with the same question format, asking participants "to what extent do you agree with each statement". Each participant should answer ALL 39 questions once. However, it will be too long if I administer them in one matrix question. Is there a way for me to automatically break it into 3 blocks - 1 Matrix Question with randomized question statements from the 39 item pool? I have explored the block randomization reccommendation as stricctly there is only 1 matrix question in each block with randomized 13 statements. Therefore, it does not work.I’d appreciate any help from the community. Thanks!
