PDF sent in a workflow email with a signature question

I have developed a survey that has a signature question. It is a user agreement. I can download a PDF that shows that question with the user’s signature. I also created a workflow to go to an admin’s email so that can download that PDF with the signature, but the email that the admin see does not contain what I can download from the platform. Is there an option to select that the admin can download the complete PDF with the user’s agreement and their signature on the same file?

Custom Validation using embedded data

Hello, Wondering if there’s a way to implement custom validation to see if say an ID number already exists in the XM directory. So, the question will not move forward if that ID exists.

Workflow to send reminders to personal link distribution

Hey there Qualtrics, I would like to start with some context. We have a custom integration with Zendesk (ZIS) where we send / create a distribution with personal links. We would like to evaluate a way to send reminders through workflows in Qualtrics. We thought about looking for some condition that would allow us to check all those users who have not started the survey and send them an email. It is important to note that once a reminder has been sent, there must be a 2-week block, after this time, a new reminder can be sent to that person, if applicable. In a bar chart, how can I include fields with a zero value?

I’m trying to create a table lens like display in a dashboard. But I’m hitting a snag because when I try to add a bar chart, it only displays fields with non-zero values. Anyone know how I can get around this? To add some detail: The three bar charts are different audiences. The bars represent the reason they indicated they visited the site. I want the bars to line up across all of the chart so it’s easy to compare why different audiences visited, but only the non-zero responses are showing. If it worked how I want, every chart would have the same dozen-ish rows (but most with zero values.) Any way around this? Thanks!!

Hiding Statement Numbers in a Qualtrics Matrix Table

Hello everyone, I am working with a Matrix Table in Qualtrics that contains 15 statements, each rated on a Likert scale (1-5). For data analysis purposes, I have numbered these statements (1-15). However, I need to hide these numbers from participants while keeping them intact for backend analysis. For example, a statement currently appears as: “12. My desire to perform to the best of my ability.” I would like to remove the number ("12.") from the participant’s view but retain it for data processing. I have attempted various JavaScript solutions within the Matrix Table but have not had success. Would anyone be able to advise on how to achieve this in Qualtrics, either using JavaScript or another method? Thank you in advance for your help!

Autoselect reponses based on responses selected at other questions

I am having trouble with a bit a script that I was hoping someone could help me with. I have 3 multiple choice questions, all with the same response options. QID1 & QID2 are independent question, where respondents may select any number of different options. Then, when we get to QID3, I want any common options that have been selected across QID1 & QID2 to be autoselected at this question (so that I can use this to control subsequent working). e.g. if ‘Brand 1’, ‘Brand 3’ & ‘Brand 6’ are selected at QID1 AND ‘Brand 3’, ‘Brand 6’, ‘Brand 10’ & ‘Brand 12’ are selected at QID2, then ‘Brand 3’ & ‘Brand 6’ should be automatically selected when QID3 loads. The script below works when all the 3 questions have the same value format, but in the situation I need this for, the various response options have been carried forward multiple times, changing the value formats (i.e. QID1 & QID2 have the value format of “xx1”, while the question I need to autoselect is formatted as “xxx1”). Piped Text for Different Languages Isn't Working Correctly

Hi everyone! I’m hoping you all can help with an issue we’re encountering regarding embedded data fields, branching, and a question randomizer. Our survey can be taken in English or Spanish, so we have an embedded data field (Q_Language) capturing this information at the start of the survey. While we have used the Qualtrics translations feature for the majority of our translations, there are two questions in the survey where we want to adjust our question text based on the respondent’s answer at a previous question. We have assigned question text via embedded data fields depending on if the respondent selected “No, I don’t” or “I’m not sure” at a previous question and also if they’re taking the survey in English or Spanish. From there, the respondent is randomly assigned to an open text or ranking question, utilizing the embedded data fields they were assigned in the question text. While this appears to work correctly in our testing, we have seen a large number of situations in which t

Quota (defined with embedded data) exceeds target

Hi, As you can see on the above screenshot, the quota for Cities is exceeded, although it is coded the same way as other quotas, which work as expected (flagging respondents as QuotaMet and ending their survey when the quota is met). For Cities, respondents are not flagged and they nothing happens even though the quota is exceeded. I suspect the issue comes from the fact that urbanity (Cities) is set using Javascript, by matching the respondent’s zipcode with the corresponding “urbanity” value using a .csv. However, I used the same method two years ago and I don’t remember having any issue with the quota. Any idea how to make this quota binding? Thanks in advance!

Populate previous documention and edit

Hi! We want Qualtrics to display the latest Medication from the last Medication survey documented when updating information. Currently Medications are documented at Enrollment in a Medications survey then 3 months later Medications are updated in a new Medications survey, but does not dipslay the previous documentation. Is there a way to accomplish this? If so, how? Please provide any information that may help us accomplish this. Thank you Agrim

Updated “Send Email” task is missing functionality from its deprecated original

We’ve recently updated our workflows to replace the deprecated “XM Directory” task, which we used to send a survey, with the new “Send a Survey via email”. We recently noticed issues in the data, and determined that the ability to add embedded data to the old task seems to be entirely missing from the new task. This prevents us from linking the distribution and response to the originating case ID (from Salesforce). This all worked perfectly with the XM Directory task. Anyone else find a way to add embedded data to the new workflow task?

Bucketing/Field Editor Product Update Needed!!!!

Once you bucket in Field Editor and publish you CANNOT go back in and edit! This is SOO frustrating. I need to be able to edit as things change and get added over time - it’s not just a one time thing! Also, in the Field Editor the source values do not show up in alpha order which makes bucketing long lists extremely time consuming. Has anyone else had issues with this? This would be such a helpful product update!!!

Add editable fields to reference block questions

Hello! We are setting up our library questions and want to create reference blocks for common questions that can be updated universally. For questions such as CSAT we would like to customise parts of the question to be relevant to the channel/interaction. I see this can be done in the “certified” library questions. Attached a screenshot. Does anybody know if and how to do this?

Extract URL content for survey flow

I have a question block where I have a url in an iframe that randomly loads page content. That page content is reflected in the url generated upon page load. I need to extract two values from the url and use those values to determine which question I should show to my participants. How would I go about doing this? Or what resources could I use to tackle this problem?

Hi, I have an event planning survey that captures and email and the event date as embedded data. I would like to use that data to trigger and send an email five days after the embedded date to remind them to complete a post-event survey. Not sure how to calculate and trigger the five days.

Page break, how to NOT have a page break after a display logic question that has choice display logic

I’m wanting to NOT have an automated page break but I cannot seem to remove it since the question with the display logic has display logic based off choices. Looking for some out of the box solutions here.

Hello, I’m new at Qualtrics. I have 3 questions. for the list of Q24(None always must be at list), I want to get answers which is selected in Q11 but not selected in Q23. Is there any way to do that except add display logic for each of the options.

Confusing quotas for emails

Hi, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. After creating an email I have sent bunch of test emails to see if my custom fields are working. Account still lists 26/200 allowed outgoing emails - this is enough for me. But when I try to send the survey to 168 contacts, I get an error saying that I am over my weekly quota. This does not make sense, since I still should have 174 emails left. There is no other place where can I report this or ask for help. If my quota is lower, how to determine how much is it actually if the account reports 26/200? Thank you for your help.

display a custom form field count based off display logic/loop and merge

In my survey I have a question asking how many dinner guests attending. (currently set up as a slider, max option is 10) The next question I need to be a form field asking for each guests name and email. So if my 1st question is answered saying 5 dinner guests I would then like the next question to display exactly 5 name spaces and 5 emails on the form field. Ideally I would like to set the form field up like a matrix table style where each row would represent a guest and would A would be name and column B would be email (currently I have it set up as a side by side with with 10 statements). I have display logic set just for #s 1-3, but it’s not working as I would expect (see screenshots) preview mode: Display logic: Questions involved:

Displaying choice IDs/codes

Hi everyone! Maybe this question has already been posted somewhere but I could not find it in our community … I need to know the ID/code of a single choice. I know when I click on “Tools” and “Show internal IDs” I can see the internal question ID which is valid for the whole question. But how can I see the internal IDs/underlying code numbers for the choices?Example: I would suppose that Denmark is Code 4, but actually (I know that from data download) it is 18 (because I added it later than the other countries). So how could I display this information? :) h.

JavaScript Embedded Data Inconsistencies

Hi all, I created a question using JavaScript to capture three values and the running total per row (each row will be a county the user selects in a previous question). The JavaScript is set to save the embedded data as {County} - the question name - Brief/Intermediate/Extended/Total. The JavaScript is correctly saving all four entries for each individual response in the Data & Analysis tab. However, when I export the results, there are four columns for each county that are the same value and titled {County} - the question name - Total. The export isn’t saving the Brief, Intermediate, and Extended values the user entered and is overwriting those to save the Total values four times instead of once. Why are the two sets of embedded data different? And how do I get the data export embedded data to be the same as the embedded data in the individual response?
