we could only define exceptions per survey. If we would for example define a exeption for all 360 projects, they would still not be automatically deleted after 365 days but we would need to do so manually. Furthermore, this approach would not be easy to scale as our organization is quite huge any many different projects / year expected.

Let me give an update to this topic:
- Currently, there is no setting to define different deletion policies per survey type. You can only define excemptions for specific surveys, however, this would mean that they are not considered at all.
- There are already a number of feature requests for the deletion/anonymization policies. I just hope that Qualtrics will further improve it and provide more possibilities in the future as this is a highly important feature for many companies with strict legal requirements.
- We aim to just discuss one general timeline for all of our surveys. This might need some risk decision on executive management level as from corporate privacy perspective some responses do not need to stay as long in the system as others do.
