Is the hierarchy feature needed to send a survey to a manager?
Dear all,
My customer’s need is double:
to send a (check-in) survey to a manager as many times a new report starts to work with her/him.
to send the survey automatically on a regular basis, after 30, 60, 90 days from the new report’s hire date.
Is the hierarchies feature - Employee Engagement projects - needed to address at least the first point or is there an alternative within Lifecycle projects?
Is there any solution you might advice me for to address the second point?
Thanks and regards,
Pietro.

Hi @Pietro Molon
Mabey this will work for you
For the second point, addressing the need to send surveys automatically on a regular basis (e.g., after 30, 60, 90 days from the new report's hire date), you might want to consider using Qualtrics' Automated Actions feature.
Here's how you can set it up:
Create a Survey: First, create the survey you want to send to new reports after specific intervals.
Set up Triggers: Use Automated Actions to set up triggers based on the hire date of the new report. You can configure triggers to send the survey automatically after 30, 60, and 90 days from the hire date.
Configure Actions: Once the trigger conditions are met (e.g., 30, 60, and 90 days after the hire date), configure the action to distribute the survey to the relevant individuals (e.g., the new report).
Test and Deploy: Test the automated actions to ensure they work as expected, and then deploy them for automatic survey distribution.
Many thanks @RickB that’s useful,
What about the requirement of sending the survey invitation to the manager when an employee starts reporting to her/him (in my case the manager submit responses through qualtrics, following a face to face meeting with own report)? Is this achievable within a Lifecycle project?
Could the feature “Roles” within Participants be the one to look at?
Once again, many thanks.
@Pietro Molon
Yes, you can achieve the requirement of sending the survey invitation to the manager when an employee starts reporting to them within a Lifecycle project. The "Roles" feature within Participants can indeed be a relevant tool to help you manage this.
