Summary of Job:
Vail Resorts seeks an experienced and versatile Senior Manager Marketing Research to join our Guest Insights team near Denver, CO.
The Senior Manager Marketing Research will be responsible for leading one of the primary functions of the Guest Insights Team, driving the strategic, guest-centric research vision of Vail Resorts. Cultivating strong partnerships with business stakeholders, representing the Voice of the Guest through custom research projects, and synthesizing insights across projects will be key to being successful in this role. Candidates must be driven, have a deep passion for research, enjoy building relationships and partnerships and be excellent communicators. Leadership is crucial to this role in both managing direct reports and managing peers; further, a desire to grow as a leader at Vail Resorts is essential.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate must possess experience in start to finish custom research execution – defining research objectives and methodology, managing projects, analyzing data, and communicating results to various stakeholders throughout the organization.
- The candidate must be comfortable with crafting learning plans, drafting project RFPs, designing questionnaires, developing research protocols, interpreting data sets, extrapolating strategic implications, creating story-driven deliverables, and facilitating immersive learning sessions for key internal partners.
- The candidate must have experience managing executive-level stakeholders or clients.
- The candidate must be able to represent their point of view in project meetings and present research findings.
- The candidate must train and develop other team members to increase the overall impact of the team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Statistics, or other quantitative field required
- Minimum of five years of experience conducting start to finish custom research, including a variety of research methodologies
- Experience managing a team of individual contributors
- Advance experience/expertise with tools like Qualtrics, SPSS, Tableau, Sawtooth, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Passion for, and ability to analyze data, able to translate findings into insights and meaningful strategies
- Agile and critical thinker who is constantly looking for ways to evolve the capabilities of the team
The budgeted range starts at $90,000 - $113,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
