Managing incomplete surveys

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

We have published a questionnaire which can be filled by existing customers before visiting the office. OR can be filled-in while they are at office.

This questionnaire is reviewed by staff and may recommend to change few responses.

A anonymous published survey link is used by customer. Because we didnt want to manage customer specific survey link and then manage the distribution.

I have two queries:

Q1: Is there any way an incomplete or submitted surveys can be retrieved by authorised staff using filter like customer id, date of birth etc.

Q2: Either make changes to the questionnaire or recommend customer to make the changes using specific link.

For both of the requirements you outlined, staff would need to use a Qualtrics account and have access to the Data & Analysis tab for the survey project.

Q1: These fields would be searchable as long as the customer filled them in. For submitted responses, the search could be performed directly in Data & Analysis. For incomplete responses, searching is limited with Qualtrics, so the user would need to download the data to a spreadsheet and run the search in Excel or similar tool. Also, the user would need to make sure that the survey settings allow retention of incomplete responses for a long enough period of time for this use case.

Q2: If any changes need to be made to a submitted survey, the staff person would need to look up the response in Data & Analysis, create a Retake Link, and either send the retake link to the customer, or use it to make the response update directly.

Thanks @MatthewM

Appreciate your response. This clarifies a lot and will think about changing our process rather than finding work around.
