Dynamic themes available to all divisions by default

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Our organisation has a large number of divisions, which represent University departments and professional teams. Bespoke dynamic themes are often needed for these, however when one is created - it is made available to all divisions by default. We then have to go through the laborious process of unchecking the permission of that theme for every single division, besides the one that needs to access it.

This issue was raised in 2020 but marked as solved, however the issue persists:

I would like to know whether this on a development list, or if there is a workaround.

Thanks.

Hello @K_Essex,

I think as of now, the only workaround is to set permissions after creating a theme. I understand it's a manual process, but I believe it's the only option until Qualtrics introduces an automated solution.

Thanks, Sachin. I really hope they do put some sort of solution into development because going through almost 120 division is absolute torture!

Hi,

You might want to look at the Divisions API - https://api.qualtrics.com/b03368744e7ee-update-division

Last I checked tho (but it’s been a few years too), you’d be only exchanging a type of torture for another: retrieving divisions’ IDs was incredibly arduous - https://www.qualtrics.com/support/integrations/api-integration/finding-qualtrics-ids/#LocatingQualtricsIDsByInspectingTheElement

Maybe you can try to get support to provide you with your 120 divisions IDs...
