Hi,

 

I want to reset the data entered in a matrix question because it might be that the respondent selects an option in a matrix table that they did not want to select and then they can’t unselect… 

 

Solution 1 (if possible): Is there a way to have a reset button? 

 

Solution 2 (backup solution): If not, I wanted to just use javascript to reload the question but then when it reloads it still has the previous answers selected.. how can I clear the answers to a question when the page is reloaded?

To reset the selection upon page reload, custom JavaScript is usually required. However, an alternative solution without using JS is to opt for a multi-select (checkbox) matrix question, setting the scale points to mutually exclusive. This behaves like a single-select option but also allows respondents to uncheck their selections if needed.
