Clear selected answers in question when reloading (reset button)

Hi, I want to reset the data entered in a matrix question because it might be that the respondent selects an option in a matrix table that they did not want to select and then they can’t unselect…  Solution 1 (if possible): Is there a way to have a reset button?  Solution 2 (backup solution): If not, I wanted to just use javascript to reload the question but then when it reloads it still has the previous answers selected.. how can I clear the answers to a question when the page is reloaded?  Thank you so much for your help!Ben

To reset the selection upon page reload, custom JavaScript is usually required. However, an alternative solution without using JS is to opt for a multi-select (checkbox) matrix question, setting the scale points to mutually exclusive. This behaves like a single-select option but also allows respondents to uncheck their selections if needed.
