Showing the same randomized condition again in a survey flow | XM Community

Dear Qualtrics community 🙂
I am conducting a survey when participants are randomly assigned to one of 12 different conditions.
The study will be held in Stimuli - Emotional response - memory test - Stimuli - cognitive response - Stimuli - manipulation check this order,
and I want to know how to re-show them the same photo to answer further questions. I used randomizer for the first exposure, but I can't figure out how to make sure the participants are shown with the same photo again in a survey flow.
Are there other ways than

  1. put the whole thing in a same block and create 12 blocks of survey - then randomize

  2. Use the display option - show 1 if 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 is not displayed before (?) or 1 is displayed before?

What's the problem with the second option? Is it not working?
One other option is to put the images in choices and then use carry forward choices. But you'll need some custom CSS to hide the buttons and all.
