Workflow email triggers sending at wrong time

I’d be really grateful for some guidance on the following:

I would like my survey recipients to recieve a string of emails after they first sign up via survey 1 (i.e., emailing link to survey 2 immediately, then emailing link to survey 3 after 2 days, then survey 4 after 7 days, then survey 5 after 9 days, then 14 days  etc). The email would contain a link to a new survey each time. I have set up my workflow from within survey 1 but when testing this, despite setting the time (see image 1 below), the email is sent much sooner, typically 2 days after instead of 14 days, and before the emails that are supposed to come earlier. I’ve checked the workflow structure (image 2), and the timings for each email send appear to be in the right order and right time, but this isn’t what happens in practice.

 

Does anyone have any ideas why this is not sending at the time I’m specifying?  Thanks in advance.
