Hi, I'm trying to create a bipolar matrix table with labels that has a line down the center. You can see a picture below. ! I'd really appreciate any advice on this issue!

I want the respondent to click "here" to download a file, but I am afraid that they will not click this hyperlink and click "next" to go directly to the next question. Is there any way to solve this problem? ! thanks a lot

We are using Qualtrics for a form that will be filed for future reference. The form makes use of the signature type question. Simply downloading a response as a PDF, you can't really customize the look, hidden questions are displayed, all the embedded data is at the end, etc. Is there a way to display responses one at a time in a more readable format, maybe with Reports?

I have a multiple answer column of a list of items and I'd like to randomly display one of selected items in a descriptive text box. Is it possible to randomly display only one of the multiple answers that were selected in the multiple column list?

Hi All, I need to download and create a CSV file with all contacts and all their embedded and transaction data. The embedded side is easy. The transaction side looks much more complicated and involves API calls. The website https://api.qualtrics.com/docs/using-contact-transactions-in-target-audience#list-contact-transactions gives a basic overview of the call however I am no python / Java programmer so don't really know how you would parse that data into a csv file to import and interrogate it in the likes of excel. However I do quite a bit of coding in VBA so given a basic script I am sure I can work with it and get it working. The problem is I'd need to consider looping through all the attributes which may change over time (or is every contact given every attribute even if it's not populated?), assuming not, I'd need work out a way that would collate this. If however, someone already has a script for Excel / VBA I'd be very grateful if you would be so kind to share that with

My first question is: How do I add space between the languages box and question text? My second question is: I would like 'please select your preferred language' to appear in the text box before someone makes a language choice selection - is this possible? In my survey, I need to show several different links to a few respondents, were each respondent would be assigned 20+ unique links. I want to pipe the link into a survey question to dynamically display them to different respondents. I've been trying to match the observation IDs (“obsid") to the link stored as embedded data in the contact list (“link”) by creating a function that returns the matching link given an id (where I can populate the id by appending a query string to the URL of the survey link sent out to different respondents). I set this as a new embedded data field (‘matchlink') through JS and pipe this into a survey question as a clickable link. Hi! I set up my questions to either be an audio clip or an image, and for participants to receive feedback on whether they got the question correct or incorrect after each question. I figured out how to hide the answers on the feedback screen (after they select a response) by inserting the answers as images instead of in rich content editor, but the question still shows. I'd like the question to not show on this feedback screen. Essentially, after they select a response I'd like them just to know whether they got it correct or incorrect without seeing the question or answer so they're unable to try to figure it out after they find out if they got it right or wrong. For some research I am currently working on, I am trying to replicate the following two visually-represented questions in a Qualtrics format: ! Right now, I have created two slider questions with graphic labels (graphics of the two items) and have used some of custom Javascript code provided in another post to anchor the label on the left-side of the slider. I also experimented with breaking up the visuals associated with the original items into 2-3 labels with Javascript coding to anchor the labels to both sides of the slider scale, but they were less visually similar to the original questions; also, I tried adjusting the visual sizes, but the slider scale auto-adjusts to any changes. Hi I am looking to require numbers 0-30 only in a text entry box, in a multiple choice question. I would use a text entry question type, but I need to have two other options available (refused, don't know). I couldn't use custom validation (regex 0-30) because that required something be entered, when the respondent could select one of the other two options. I guess more generally, how can I add radio choices (refused, don't know) to questions of other types (e.g. text entry, matrix, ect.) !

! I'd like to color-code the status field in a record grid widget -- sounds like the only way to do this would be to add HTML in the recode editor. I tried using bgcolor= in the recode, but no luck. I'm hoping someone has done this and can share their solution? Thanks!

Menu Completion Check marks: Once a section is complete, and the check mark is placed next to the completed section, it moves the text of the section name to the next line. Is it possible to have the check mark remain on the same line as the section name? Also, where can I find the setting that places a check mark next to a completed section?

Hello all, Apologies if this is the incorrect question category for this topic, but since I have been attempting to tackle the issue using javascript, I figured I could ask here. I need to be able to present three pieces of information to each survey participant: two strings(each taken from their own lists of related strings) and an image file(taken from a list of image files). For example, I need to show the user one name from a list of names, one occupation from a list of occupations, and one image of a face taken from a collection of images. As it stands, I can do this, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to randomize this so that each participant sees a random combination of names, occupations, and faces from the three different sets of data. I could not find any way to do this in the randomization tools in Qualtrics; I can randomize the place in which name1, occupation1, and face1 appear in the survey, but am unable to have a set consisting of name1, occupation3, and face2 (j

For the native mobile app SDK survey, I added a custom end of survey message with a button to close the survey (in addition to the "x" on top that closes survey). I would like to hook up the action to close the survey on clicking the button. I know I can add an onClick to the button, but how do I trigger the survey to close from javascript?

Does anybody know of an effective way to contain text on an embedded data piped page within a survey or an email action to have text maintain originally typed paragraphs/formatting? I see the issue with the results of an essay text question or embedded data brought into a 1 column/1 row table that I use in an email action (because otherwise it just strings the text all the way across the email unless I am setting it up wrong)? This probably makes little sense so I will attach a screenshot. I am looking for all of this information to be divided by paragraphs like it was originally typed and not like this. !

Hi, I'm housing a survey inside a small popup creative. I'm using a survey theme that's as condensed as possible so that everything will fit nicely in the small creative window but there's still a lot of white spaces below the Qualtrics logo that I can't get rid of. The extra white spacing in the footer is causing a scrollbar to come up in view in the creative - is there any custom CSS to control the spacing in the footer? Esp below the Qualtrics logo?

I was able to insert the following JS to create a scrolling list of answer choices on my multiple choice question: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function() { jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .QuestionBody").css({"overflow-y":"scroll","height":"615px"}); }); However, the scroll bar is not visible until the participant mouses over the answer choices and tried to begin scrolling, making it a bit unclear that this is even a scrolling list. Is there a way to insert some additional code to make the scroll bar visible at all times?

Hello, I would like to prevent triggering an action (email) every time a phone number starts by 12. I use embedded data PhoneNumber matches regex ^(?!12).* but I keep receiving the triggered email => unexpected behaviour If phone number starts by 11, I well receive the triggered email => expected behaviour Any idea why "Not starting by 12" which is ^(?!12).* doesn't prevent the trigger? I'm looking forward for your support 😀

Can this be done? Alternatively, having a button that records a timestamp when clicked would be even better.
