These situations are where you most commonly see the “Other” answer choice implemented. The Allow Text Entry option lets you add a text box to your answer choice so respondents can enter their own unique responses. You can also add text entry validation so you can ensure that when that choice is selected, the text box is required

To minimize these negative experiences, we can choose clear default messages or create descriptive custom validation messages.
