X4 is fast approaching! For this month’s Badge of the Month, we want to hear your thoughts:

For Attendees: What topics or trends in experience management are you most excited to learn about at X4? Are you interested in exploring customer journey mapping, employee engagement strategies, or the latest in data-driven insights?

For Those Who Can't Attend: Even if you can't make it this year, we’re eager to know: What topics and trends in experience management have been intriguing you lately? Are you passionate about user experience design, feedback loops, or using AI for better engagement?

During the first week of each month, we will post a new question, topic, or activity for you to connect with the community and earn a badge. All community members who join our team and contribute a thoughtful comment to this month’s discussion, between March 3 and March 31, will receive this badge worth 50 points by the end of the month.

I’m in the “For Those That Can’t Attend” camp this year - I’m interested in trends in Higher Ed because of my job, specifically tips to increase response rates for busy students and faculty.  Leveraging the system for more than just surveys (I’ve been working on a signature form and a scheduling tool) and getting campus buy in.

AI is a big one too.  Personally I’ve been experimenting with Chat GPT and I do see the benefits but there’s a lot of ethics questions that come up.

Overall customer service and experience trends are also fascinating.  As is building leadership skills as I self label as a reluctant leader.😉

Hi @pamelalbeck,

Great topics you bring up and hopefully you can attend a future X4! I think AI will undoubtedly be a very popular topic. What ethical concerns come up when using it?

@AlonsoC In higher ed it’s a lot of trying to catch up policies especially around academic integrity (and what counts as a violation) and responsible use for students.  In healthcare there’s pros and cons to using chatbots for talk therapy (I’m working on an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and this idea keeps circling back).

On a personal note I recently used Chat GPT to summarize comments on a spreadsheet to share with an academic program and debated at length if I should note that it was AI generated to be more transparent.  I needed an outlet to pull key points that would take my bias out of it, so definitely saved time, but then I felt uneasy with how to present the results.

Hope that helps clarify!

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend, but I’m very interested in the use of AI to enhance interaction with the employees. I’d love to learn more about the upcoming roadmap, especially for EX, as there are high expectations regarding new features and innovations. Additionally, it would be great to have more webinars to dive deeper into these topics 💃🏻.

Won’t be attending either.

AI is definitely the rising trend here, whether we’re talking about it’s usage in our customers’ interactions with their own clients or about its usage within the experience management tools they are using.

Enthusiasm is there, but we see a lot of concern too, particularly about data security.

Unfortunately, i can not go. I am always very interested in how other universities do administration and deal with users. I saw on the agenda that a few universities are coming to speak and I am very sorry to miss them.

@RickB I think the education track break outs are a newer addition to the conference?  I’m really glad they were added.

@pamelalbeck, those are all interesting points you bring up! I think every industry is currently grappling with how to securely and ethically leverage AI. Thanks for sharing the perspective from academia and counseling. Good luck on that MA 😀

Attendee, I’ve been before, and it is a fantastic conference. If anyone is making data driven decisions it is Qualtrics. The conference was more of all groups, edu, bus, gov all together with some areas having sessions specifically for them, but now with specific sessions, maps and speakers for each area it has become a required conference. I’m looking forward to seeing what else is on the higher education road map and connecting with colleagues that have similar responsibilities to my position.

Hi @YenMejia_Voce ,

There seems to be a lot of interest in AI from the Community! I’ll relay this info to our team in charge of webinars.

I won’t be attending, but I am interested in learning more about how Qualtrics is used in other post-secondary institutions, e.g., course evaluations, increasing student response rates.

I was able to attend the last two years, but unfortunately, we don’t have the budget for it this year with our PK-12 School District.  AI is a hot topic in education, would love to continue to learn and explore more.

As others have said also, the always standing “issue” of increasing response rates.  Our largest student, staff and family surveys went out this week, so I will be interested to see if our rates change from last year.

For those that are attending, enjoy every minute!

I am defnitely excited to learn more about employee engagement at the upcoming conference. I am particularly excited to network with other Qualtrics users and learn more best practices.

@MeganZich, as a two-time attendee, do you have any tips for new attendees on how to make the most of X4?

And we hope to see you again at a future conference!

It looks like the app was published as a new app called X4 Events and is working now. Can you confirm that the X4 Events app is the official app for X4 this year?

@AlonsoC My best advice for those attending for the first time is to take advantage of all that is offered!  Attend everything you are able.  For example, our team attended the Qualtrics Education meet ups to connect with other educators in addition to the amazing scheduled sessions we attended. (Sounds like this year there will be a Community Meet up, totally bummed to be missing that!!!) But also network with as many people as you can, especially with those outside of your field too.  If you are in line for something, get to know those around you.  Separate out from the team that you are attending with (I’d consider myself an introvert, so I get it’s hard, but it was so worth it)!  You will be exhausted at the end, but it will be worth every second.  Utilize LinkedIn, etc. to remain in connection with those you meet!

In general, wear comfortable shoes and wear easy layers!  If you are going to truly explore all there is to offer, it is a massive span of rooms and buildings.  Use the Dream Team--such a fun conference element!!!  I didn’t know about it the first year and was able to bring some cool Qualtrics swag home for my kids the second year and they loved it.

Be willing to get in line early!  Both years we were in line right away for the morning keynote speakers and had amazing floor seats and it was absolutely phenomenal. (But, there really is no bad seat.  The giant screens and sound systems will allow you to see and hear from anywhere!)

Probably most importantly ask questions.  The Qualtrics team clearly knows what they are doing when they hire people.  Every single person that I was in contact with was kind and knowledgeable during often loud, people filled, and fast paced times.  Someone will absolutely take the time to help you out!

Most importantly, enjoy yourself!  Be present and don’t worry about what is happening back at the office, it will still be there when you return.  Sit through a session and don’t take notes for a minute, just enjoy actively listening.  Attend the concert!  Have fun!!

Those are all great tips, @MeganZich!

In my experience at conferences, connecting with people outside my industry has been really rewarding and it’s a great idea to follow-up on Linkedin. Additionally, enjoying the moment and being open-minded are always excellent ways to make the most of big events like X4!

I’m excited to have the opportunity to attend X4 again this year! I am looking forward to making new connections in the K-12 Qualtrics community, accessing the help desk to brainstorm/troubleshoot some new ways of using the program, and gaining insights from sessions that highlight best practices and innovative ways to leverage Qualtrics in education. Plus, I’m looking forward to the energy and inspiration that comes from being surrounded by professionals who are passionate about using data to drive meaningful change!

I’ll be attending X4 for the second time… excited most to hear about the progressions in AI-related features that were announced at the last conference and new capabilities within date/time questions and data. It is always great networking with others in my industry and unique applications within the platform that they have implemented.
