Using Fractions in Scoring / Round Scores up | XM Community

Hey everyone,

I am working with Qualtrics for the first time and I ran into a problem.

I created a survey, in which 3 items are bundled into a cluster. The participants reacted to the items on a scale of -2 to +2. I used the Scoring feature to bundle the items in the respective cluster and scored the questions from -0.666 to +0.666, to see the average score for the whole cluster on the Stats IQ page. Unfortunately, I cannot find any option to round these result up to even numbers (or to enter a fraction as a score for the items), which leads to a weird diagram in Stats IQ, where people who score 0 end up just right of the middle, between 0 and 0.25.

Is there any option within Qualtrics to achieve this? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Kind regards,

Max

Okay so I think I found a way. I created a new variable with the following formula:

round (average (x, y, z ))

Still I am curious, is there a more elegant way of doing this?

@MaxBorneman Have you tried math operations: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/editing-questions/piped-text/math-operations/#MathOperationsSyntax
