Hi, I’m creating an experiment with 3 randomized conditions that take place across 3 separate surveys. Is there a way to track what condition the participant gets originally randomly assigned to, and then ensure they’re assigned to that same condition in the following 2 surveys? Thank you!

Hello Experts, Here is the scenario There is a survey from where the participants will take the survey and will be redirected to a website which has been built and there they will take the training. After completion of training, they will redirect to different survey to complete and their data will be stored. So, we want to track the unique ID through out the process. We also want to know Unique ID for those user's who haven't complete the training .

We have created a survey. I’m trying to find out if it’s possible to send an HTTP request that will cause Qualtrics to send the survey to one person whose email address is contained in that request.Instead of creating mailing lists or contact lists, I just want to say, “Send an email to this person inviting them to take this survey.” I don’t want it to be anonymous.Is that a valid use case? Can I do that? The intent is that when a transaction is completed, I send a survey to that person. Thanks

I recently carried out a survey with two different sets of randomized vignettes, and after consultation with our client turned of one of the vignettes. I managed to get the responses to those blocks in the data, but not the viewing order.  To illustrate, for the randomiser “Vignet meer uren werk” I see the answers to the questions and the viewing order in FL_132. For the randomiser “Vignet outsourcing” I only see the answers to the questions, but not the viewing order. Is there any way to put this in the dataset or find this information elsewhere? 

Hi I would like to be able to report on what user closed a ticket, as opposed to the owner of the ticket.I know the closer of the ticket could assign it to themselves but I do not want to lose the owner data.Any ideas on how to achieve this?

I would like to have the option that people can deny the open text field. So for example the question is: “Do you have any comments on this survey?” and than there should be a big open text field (not like in the multiple choise option one) or on the bottom a button with the option to choose “no”.Thanks for your help :)

Hi Qualtrics Community,I am designing a survey where I need to end the survey for respondents if the country they were born in is the same as the country they are currently working or living in. Here are the specific questions I have included in my survey:In which country were you born? (Dropdown choice) In which country are you currently living? Hi,I have 5 MCQ questions in a block , all separated by a page break. Each question has 3 options.  I want to add  timer  for 45 seconds for each question and auto-advance to the next question when the time is up.  Each question is mandatory (force response) but if they don’t answer the question within 45 seconds, I want them to be moved to the next question. I also want the questions to stay in the same block as I am scoring the questions in a block. I tried some codes on XM community which had Java Script code (shown below) but did not work: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() {    var that = this;    setTimeout(function(){        that.clickNextButton();    }, 45000); // 45000 milliseconds = 45 seconds});Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Need urgent help

Hi community, I would like to know what is best way to solve this as after exploring it seems that it will require java script.We want the doctors to enter instrument names instead of the reason. The instrument names are usually lower than 300 letters. We would like to Disable input after 300 letters are entered Show the characters entered/remaining(if that is possible) 

And are we able to modify it or turn it off? TIA!

HI! I am wondering if this is possible. I currently have a survey that I have set up via workflow to email me each time there is a new response. I want to keep my survey that way. However, I want to add a question in the survey where a student can enter in the email of their TA. The survey results would then send to me AND to the email they enter in that question. Is this possible? Basically, can I configure a workflow where the response gets sent to a unique email address that is entered into a question. Let me know! Thank you so much!

This is a survey where participants input calories in a series of Constant Sum questions. I am trying to create a survey flow where it adds up the totals for all the Constant Sums and gives one large sum at the end, but I am doing something wrong because it doesn’t show up when I preview the slideshow. I have included two text questions at the end to display them to test if its working.   

I combined 3 surveys into one. I created 4 different blocks. The 1st one was to question which survey they were there to take, the other 3 were for each separate survey.However, I can’t get the logic to work to skip to the correct survey/block on any but the 1st. I have tried all kinds of options on the sort and skip logic tabs, but nothing seems to work. It only gives the option to skip to the end of one (the 1st) block. I don’t have this problem when skipping one question, however I can’t get it to work when I need it to skip multiple questions/ a complete section.  Hoping this makes sense!Thanks for any help. 

I have a slider question in my survey where the slider handle only appears when the respondent touches the slider (the survey is conducted on mobile/ tablets). I want the textbox next to the slider to be blank before the respondent toucher the handle and then record the value that the respondent sets. I’m trying redirect respondents that complete the survey in English to an English URL and French respondents to a French URL. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks  

Hello to all I need some help with this....Create a flow so that if the embedded data T_pais is Argentina and the comment contains the word "Calor" or "Frio" send mail to whoever configure...The problem is that it does not send the mail, it does not work the "Todas las siguientes son verdaderas” because if I remove this clause and only leave the "Algunas de las siguientes es verdadera", if it works and if it sends the mail...  But how do I set the condition if I also need to evaluate the country?Thanks

Hi all,I need some help to setup my survey and streamline the questions. I have 2 same question (ask them to rate 1-5, and 1 optional comment question).And I have 84 different long messages (responses from people) that I want to randomise them when presenting to evaluators.Is there anyway I can streamline the process? I tried loop and merge but the field don’t not allow me to include the message (too long and don’t allow rich text format).Please help… If not I will have to create 84 blocks and 1 block (2 questions) and setup everything manually

Hi, I’m new to Qualtrics. Hope someone can shed some light on me.Each student has <=5 lecturers and <=10 tutors. My data file hence has 15 columns for the names of the lecturers and the tutors (L01, L02, … T15). Certainly some columns are empty. Each lecturer (and tutor) is asked the same questions.  I can possibly add a column with the count of the lecturers and the count of the tutors respectively.I’d like to use Loop and Merge for the blocks of lecturers and tutors for simplicity but how can I implement this?It seems that I cannot create a block (show only if the current lecturer/tutor is not empty using branching) inside a block (loop and merge).Thank you very much!

Hey guys,I have been trying to work on javascript for a Qualtrics experiment. Basically I am trying to generate a string of numbers and format a particular digit in that string. I run this for 2 minutes, regenerating strings after an answer is subnmitted. This part of the code seems to work fine in the preview. The problem is that it does not do the formatting I indicate. Apart from the shared code, I have also tried using append and split but in both cases the formatting did not work (with my code). I have exhausted most resources and I hope I can get some help here. We have an issue in our org where reps are following-up on the tickets, but rarely click on the ticket link in the email and fill out the ticket information. Is there a way to “fill out” the follow-up questions in the ticket directly on an email in outlook? Trying to think of ways to get the follow-up filled out without requiring them to go to their qualtrics ticketing page (all of the respondents info is shown in the email).

Hi, I want to access Qualtrics data with Data Connector, so I can report real time responses and track response rates. How can I access one file in Qualtrics including respondents with responses and data elements included in the seed file as well as non-respondents with data elements included in the seed file uploaded on the Qualtrics? Hi,I have a requirement to add NO RESPONSE option in a NPS question.Since there was no standard feature to do it, I am trying to do the following:1.I created a multiple choice question with scale of 0 to 10 and No response as options. This has NPS question label and this question is visible to user.​​​​​​​2.In the next block, I added a standard NPS question and have hidden it. I have added the below Javascript code in this question: 3.I plan to use the hidden NPS question in reporting. Below are the problems faced by me:The value doesn’t get assigned to the hidden question. But when I unhide the standard NPS question, I can see the values getting correctly assigned in case user has selected 0 to 10. In the case of NO RESPONSE, even with unhidden question, it doesn’t uncheck the previously selected value. I have not added ClickNextButton in code because in the block in which hidden question is present, there are other questions too. So the user would definitely click on Next button.What

I have been noticing the issue described below for years but recently concluded that this was perhaps not how it is supposed to work.When I add a question to my survey, in this case of type Side by Side, it initially has a nice interface, as seen here: When I deselect the question by clicking outside of it, this interface disappears, which I can understand as it is not selected for editing anymore: However, when I then reselect the question, I would expect the original editing interface to return, but instead, only a very simple interface is applied, and options that exist in the original interface, such as for adding columns, are missing: Does anyone know what could cause this? There’s an error message in the console.I have tried different browsers, cleared the cache, and disabled all extensions.
