I have set up pre-study and post-study surveys that have been de-identified. The participants are paid after they complete the surveys. To maintain the de-identification of the surveys, I have created a separate survey for their name/address in order to know who is done and send them their payment. I want to create a link from the end of each survey to the follow-up survey. I know I need the URL for each study, but I am not sure how to achieve this.
Passing Information via Query Strings (qualtrics.com)
It’s easy if you have survey director
Or else, at the end of the first survey, you have the option to redirect them to a URL. Just paste the URL of the second one in that.
At the 2nd survey. Refferal URL, add the link of the 1st survey. This make sure they can only access the payment survey through completing the 1st one
Survey anonymous link/URL can get through Distribution → Anonymous Links
Hope this helps
Thank you for the replies. In this situation, I do not need to link any information from survey 1 to 2 other than to have ONLY people who have reached the end of survey 1 to be able to link to survey 2.
So I believe my EOS at the end of survey 1 needs to have the URL for survey 2, and then in my survey 2 I have a spot where I can limit entry to it to only those from the survey 1 URL. What I do not know how to do is create these URLs, nor can I remember where I find the spot for limiting the 2nd survey to the URL of the 1st.
Thankfully, it is a small pilot study with only 36 possible respondents, and to have received the 1st survey, I have received a completed consent with information. The surveys are de-identified, but in a worst case scenario, I have a StudyID embedded that can be crossed referenced manually back to my study log book.
Later in the study period, I will be comparing my de-identified pre survey and post survey using that same embedded StudyID. When the participants are taking the post study surveys, they will not be presented with their baseline answers from the pre survey, so again, I do not think I need to link specific answers from one to the next. But maybe I am missing an important step here.

Yeah, If you want it to be real anonymous, don’t attach any personal info. I already show you where you got the URL, Distribution Tab → Anonymous Link
Thank you, you helped me find and create the URL for survey 2 to put at the end of survey 1. Right now I am trying remember how to double check that people arrived at survey 2 from survey 1. Survey 1 will be emailed to specific people who have consented to be in my pilot study, and they can return to survey 1 to finish it in divided visits if needed. I believe this means that each person will have a special URL for their specific survey. Is that correct? Does that affect my ability to double check that only people who have finished survey 1 have landed on survey 2?

Respondent who go through survey 1 via personal link will still can get to survey 2. And survey 2 can now only be access through survey 1. You can test it by pasting survey 2 anonymous link.
Make a test distribution to your email to test it out.
